I run the same search parameters every time when searching for local SBs.  The number of hits I get on my search results has been remarkably consistent throughout this year: between 1000 and 1100.  It's not a huge target rich area like LA or NYC.  Usually there are a few new ones every week, and a few drop off every week, but the overall number stays very consistent.  Until recently that is. Lately there's been a huge increase.  I just looked and counted 16 new profiles within the past 24 hours! The total is suddenly over 1300.  There's 98 new profiles in just the last week. I wonder what's up! Are you seeing something similar in your areas or is this just a strange local anomaly?

But I have not noticed any kind of sudden surge in new profiles. Like you I am not in a target rich area, I typically do a 100 mile search and I only screen out fat broads, the number of hits I get has just about doubled in the last couple of years from about the same 1,100 or so that you have up to right about 2,000 as of today, but when I do a search for the newest profiles I am seeing maybe 5 or 6 new profiles each day. I think the number is growing, not because of a surge in new members, but because the old members are just dropping off at a slower rate.  

 
I sure wish we were adding another 98 POT SB's each week, but in my area we are only adding about a third that many. Maybe what you are seeing is simply an anomaly, but let's hope it turns into a trend.

They're settled in to their autumn school or job routines. Holidays are coming up. Could use some quick cash.

Total search results are now up to 1430!  Considering 1100 was high average for quite some time, that's a 30% increase!
