Hoping you get to head back home asap and that you don't suffer any serious damage. These fires are next level shit.  

 
Looking at your story, it occurs to me that your POT is probably just a straight up scammer and is very unlikely to actually live in OC. Actually, I doubt "she" lives in the US.  

 
My friends and family who live in the greater LA area know exactly where every fire is, and they know which ones are of concern to them and to others.  Only my friends and acquaintances who live further away (Nor Cal or other states) and do not really understand how HUGE LA is are pinging me to check in.  The locals are connecting with each other to offer help and support where needed.  

 
So your POT calls for help, with no understanding that LA and OC might as well be different states. Basically "she" outs herself as someone who has not one fucking clue about So Cal geography beyond what they can see on Google Maps.  

 
Personally, I remain an advocate of not reporting POT's unless I have suffered an egregious loss. But I totally understand why you did.   If you care to share her profile name by DM, I can she if "she" is still active.

Pots and SBs using the fires to ask for money.

Got an early morning text. 5am, from a Pot who flaked on our first date and basically refused to even apologize after I drove down to see her ask for help.  She said her place burned down and she's desperate.  Included a link to her cash app.  She lives in OC.  Nowhere near the fires.  Probably doesn't even see a bit of smoke.

I just blocked her and sent it to SA as a report for scams.  Hope they ban her.  This is pretty fucked up.  I'm not even able to go home right now.

These scammers have no soul whatsoever. They'd rob their own mother if she were dying in the street.  

 
Netnoy, sorry to hear you are not able to get back into your home yet. Hang in there, help is on the way. It looks like they are starting to make some progress with at least two of the fires. It's really a very unfortunate situation for the many hundreds of thousands of people affected by these devastating fires.  

 
It's really the luck of the draw. The only thing I am experiencing is breathing problems from the smoke, which has aggravated an already acute lung condition I've been dealing with for many days now.  

 
Everyone in LA has been affected by this one way or another.  

 
God speed to you and hopes you will be able to return to your home soon.  

 
For the rest of my fellow sugaring clan, beware of these scammers trying to bag you on hard luck stories.  

 
They are crafty and convincing liars and they will rinse you for every penny they can.

Yeah.....  She fucked up.  But she was trash already.  I wouldn't have helped her even if her house burned down.  

Fortunately, I'm just without power.  No real danger of losing my property unless the winds change severely.  I have a friend who lost everything.  He may stay with me for a bit after I get back in my place.
