A while ago I asked for info and opinions about fly-in dates. I appreciate all the thoughtful replies I got. Some of the responses asked why I'd bother with a fly-in, considering the many problems.  Why not just stick to the home market?  So I thought I'd try to compare my home area to some others.

 
It used to be easy to compare geographical locations on SA.  The search results included the total number of research results matching your filters.  For whatever reason, they stopped providing this useful info.  But it occurred to me that if I included "Online Now" in my search options I'd get manageable, countable results which could provide a meangful way to compare different cities, at least relatively speaking.  So I searched my home area for Online Now and did the same thing for several other cites in the Southwest.  In each case I used my normal criteria for age, photos, etc, but I varied the search radius to represent what I thought a local SD in those cities might reasonably use.  Here's my results.

My takeaway is that if I lived in Phx or LA I'd probably never bother with considering a fly-in.  The local markets are huge compared to here in P.S. I'm sure the number of men competing for the women's attention is correspondingly higher in those cities too, so there's that. But frankly, seeing these results, I'm kinda amazed that I've had the level of success here that I have. Still, it's very easy for me to run through all the attractive locals (and I have to include "within 110 miles" as local!) and quickly start to fantasize about the possibility of importing pussy.  Haven't done it yet though.  Every attempt so far has crashed on the unforgiving rocks of scammers and red flags.

Easier said than done I know.  But this is your hobby, maybe worth considering?

If I ever had the desire to leave where I live, my choice of new home would DEF be influenced by the richness of the local sugaring scene.  I've thought about that "what-if" many times.  Unfortunately, or fortunately depending on how you look at it, my wife and I LOVE where we've lived for 55 years and counting.  Little chance I'll ever leave.  But hmmm, a second home in Phoenix sounds pretty sweet...!

Fly-ins carry risks for both the SD and the SB. And thinking about it from the SB perspective.. taking a flight to Siberia just for one-off fuckfest doesn't sound like the best use of one's time, especially if they live in a sugar-rich environment.

I think we may have touched on this before, and maybe you did it already, but I would pick one of those cities that you really want to visit and spend a week or two, consider it a vacation so you're not too bummed if sugar fails to materialize. But if you do connect, you could then plan some fly-ins with someone who already knows and trusts you.

Living in the Los Angeles major metro area, I am at the other side of the spectrum.  There are literally hundreds of active profiles within 15 miles of me. (Sadly, in LA, that may still mean a 30-45-minute drive...)

 
But the silver lining comes from the number of active profiles that actively look for guys like me. And in particular, many of these POT's are current or former adult actresses.  I got pinged on SDM on Saturday. I have an unpaid account on SDM so I can't even initiate a message to a profile, unless she has contacted me first.  

 
We exchanged numbers and connected by text today. She's a late 20's (recently) former porn star.  She told me in our early texts, among other topics. My usual playbook is to acknowledge her "job" but not make it a central point or theme of discussion. I'm cool with her choices and I don't infer anything adverse, nor do I become the typical "gooner" she may meet at AVN. As we get to know each other, I treat it as the least interesting part of who she is and what she does.

...and as you have pointed out: would be interesting to see the corresponding list for active SD tabulated by cities.

Seeking likes to perpetuate the myth that there are many more SB (like 3x more or something).   But when I had my fake SD account, what became obvious is that the men are many, many times more active than the women.

So basically I'm saying the 'grass is greener' syndrome may be at play here, and you might well find the ratio of SB:SD is similar in those other places.
