Ashley hack you woke up to websites with your name and address online, plus hackers emailing you in blackmail attempts.

I've always used prepaid cards from the grocery store/gas station with success.  Meta bank, Vanilla, AmEx, all worked fine on SA.  SA appears to have fixed the overseas charge origination that used to be an issue for some (never was for me).  You usually don't need to register the cards but if you do, I use the fake name that matches my registered SA profile name and a local address across town and they go through without issue.  Good luck!

I use my regular bank debit card.  I don't care if my bank knows where I spend my money for legal activities like signing up for a website.  As long as they get to charge me that extra foreign transaction fee, they are happy as can be.  

 
This question comes up often here and on the general board from mongers trying to pay for TER, SA, hotels, deposits, and everything else with an anonymous non-cash transfer.  They don't exist. Electronic transfers are always traceable in some way.  They are regulated specifically that way to detect and stop money laundering by drug cartels, terrorists (and former presidents colluding with Russia). The best you can probably do is open an individual bank account with a new bank and use your office/work address (or a PO Box with a street address) instead of your home address. That will probably keep your S/O from finding out - unless she's really looking.   The Sugar Bowl and the Monger world have risks. You can reduce or mitigate the risks, but you can never eliminate them.

Called SA billing.  They do accept Visa Vanilla prepaid.  We will see if it works tomorrow.  Not gonna try via web.

My rationale for doing this is that my name/address is not stored in SA’s cloud for hackers.  Ashley Madison was hacked a number of years back, and My name/Address/email was shared all over the place.

Fool me once, but not twice.

Naturally LE could get anything the want from blur, or Visa vanilla, but a hacker would have to hack two sites to get the same information (not likely).

Abine Blur was good in the past, but has gone to shit.

Fwiw, I use Starbucks gift cards for TER.  Same principle. LE can subpoena Starbucks, but hackers would need to hack it.

It appears gift card does not work, are you using reloadable debit cards? If so any suggestions as I cannot find a Vanilla one to save my life.

Just used a Vanilla card on SA. Worked first time. It was a registered card.

For those of you who have used a prepaid vanilla gift card to renew your SA membership - did you buy it at the store or did you buy it online?

I purchased one at the store (vanillagift.com) and SA won't accept it.  I went to the site and created an account.  Using this account, I can purchase a card off the site (which I did not do).  But there is no way to link the store bought card with my new vanillagift account.  Any help would be appreciated.

Also for those who have said they have called SA billing - what is the number?  I don't see it on the SA site.
