I have completed all of my planning and booking for my upcoming trip to Thailand and Indonesia. It's T-48 days to wheels up. The 48-day itinerary includes Bangkok, Pattaya, Jakarta, and my last 5 days in Bali.
Last Friday I was out with my HipHop SB and I mentioned my upcoming trip. I wanted to let her know that I would be out of the country soon so she could level set expectations for our dating schedule over the next 3 months. She asked me where I was going. Now I don't like to lie, but that doesn't mean I always want to be fully transparent. I told her Thailand and Indonesia and added that I would fly home from Bali. She immediately expressed her interest in going to Bali. Yikes!
Ok, some additional background - on her. She's had an interesting life before she embarked on her music career... a mother who pimped her out at 13, a "job" selling UTR drugs in a popular strip club with full coordination of the club owner, and she knows I see other SB's while I'm sure she sees other SD's (I don't ask, she doesn't tell, but...).
So back to my potential idiocy... I told her I had taken SB's on travel in the past with mixed results. I also told her I am not in a position to pay her extra allowance for the extended time, and I am concerned that once I pay for airfare, I will not be able to get a refund if she bails before the trip. Here reply was unexpected, to say the least:
1. She pointed out that she could guess what I will be doing in Thailand and Jakarta, and she was cool with it as longs as I can show her a clean test in Bali (I can).
2. She said as long as I am covering all costs (air, hotel, food, entertainment) she did not want any other money. She will be grateful for an all-expense paid vacation. And delighted to be there with me. (Flattery? Well, it worked!)
3. She has gone on Sugar travel in the past and "understands" the dynamic.
I know she is an experienced solo-traveler. I have seen her take 2 trips back east on her own since we started dating - all on her dime. She has a valid passport. On Monday I researched air fare. I found flights that will have her land in Bali 10 minutes after I do and fly home 1 hour before my return flight. The cost for the economy seats is less than $1,000. So that's my monetary risk, about $1,000.
I shared the flight info with her, and she confirmed her work schedule is clear on the required days.
Here's my reasoning for buying the tickets and committing to this possibly idiotic idea:
1. Of all 4 cities I will visit, Bali has the least favorable conditions and resources for the P4P I want. Namely, BBFSCIP with 18-24 year old spinners for less than $100 per session. It's all possible in Bali, but it takes more effort and time than it will in other cities.
2. Bali is, first and foremost, a well-known vacation/resort destination. There is plenty of couple-friendly stuff to do there and this girl can PARTY! Even with an old dude like me.
3. The costs beyond the airfare are small, just the additional food and perhaps some shopping.
4. I was originally planning to try to find an SB in Jakarta who would want to come to Bali with me. But I know that plan has at best, a 15-35% chance of working without spending several hundreds of dollars in extended allowance. This way, I spend $1,000, but I have a 99% chance of success - I hope.
So there is it. I will be taking one of my US-based SBs on my mongering trip to Southeast Asia.

It actually sounds like a good plan. You can relax during the earlier parts of your trip knowing you've got a SB coming to meet you in Bali. No need to try and scramble to find a companion to come with. And since you already know each other, I imagine she'll be comfortable with having more sex or less, depending on how tired you are from your travels! I think it's the best kind of trip insurance!

I am going to Thailand and Indonesia to fuck hot Asians, no doubt. Here's how I'm allocating my time:
1. Bangkok - 5 days
2. Pattaya - 7 days
3. Jakarta - 30 days
4. Bali - 5 days
The 1st three are all about exploring the abundant opportunities for hot Asian BCD. When I started planning the trip, Bali was not in consideration. I added Bali for two reasons. First, I realized that I would already be close and adding it as a final leg turned out to be cost-neutral for airfare. (Seems counter-intuitive, but sometimes air fare packages are weird.) Second, it would give me 5 days to do interesting actual tourist stuff. There is very little to do in Jakarta that interests me besides the babes. Once I made the decision to add Bali, I had a rough plan to invite an SB from Jakarta to join me there, but I knew that was a low percentage of success plan.
That set the stage for the conversation with my SB described above. I will add one more datum to the mix. My SB is bi. She actually lives with her girlfriend, who also sugars. So that may open a whole new channel of opportunity at the nightclubs in Bali (Kuta Beach to be specific) that cater to 20-somethings that listen and dance and hook up under HipHop and other pop music like EDM, etc. There is a (probably small) chance my SB will pull a vacationing hottie or a local babe into a threesome with me. And if she does, the only likely costs will be a few drinks.
Sadly, none of this means I am not an idiot. This could still go wrong...

Seriously, what an ambitious itinerary! Honest question: erotic exploits aside, how do you spend your time, especially an entire month in Jakarta? How do you move about in the individual countries? Obviously you look to be embedded in the culture. I know you've done similar junkets previously.
I am an experienced traveler, in large and small groups as well as solo. I have no difficulty meeting strangers in strange places and striking up a conversation, despite my natural introverted nature. As long as I have WiFi and my lightweight PC (plus my iPad and iPhone as backups), I am connected to whatever and wherever I want. And I plan a fair amount of local tourist crap (temples, museums, zoos, parks, shopping, landmarks, etc.) to get some education on the local history and culture. And to be honest, these locations provide an abundance of cover photo ops for the friends and family back home. LOL
In past trips that were focused primarily, or exclusively, on adult entertainment, I have also met many like-minded men who are either fellow-vacationers, or ex-pats now living and/or retired in that city.
When you are people watching in a Walking Street bar and the guy next to you (perhaps from Australia, India, Germany, UK, US, or Korea) asks if you've been in a certain bar yet and had an opportunity to "short time" with a certain bar girl... well, you have a lot in common to discuss. 
As to physically getting around, most Southeast Asia cities have inexpensive (like less than $2 per trip) public transportation systems and local Uber equivalents at similarly low prices ($3-5). It's pretty easy to get around. The only glitch can be heavy traffic. But I'm from Los Angeles. Traffic jams are nothing to me.

Having been to Bali a number of times, and I'm fortunate not to have or need a budget, my only advice is not to believe half the shit you read about it.
Costs are very high, the place is overrun by American tourists and you would be much, much better served just enjoying the unique culture than hunting for pussy.
Single, mid-40s girls would have much more luck than you would have anyway lol
Enjoy the place, suck up the culture and bang your girl on a boat away from the shore on in a wooded location with a bit of fog and maybe even a light rain.

Time flies by fast. I'll be wheels up in 19 days. Here's an update on my potential idiocy, which may actually flip towards genius, or at least plain old fashioned well-planned luck.
I reviewed the Bali itinerary with my LA-based Hip Hop SB who will be meeting me there and she is totally engaged with the plan. This is a good sign, as past SB's I've taken on extended trips were not interested - and deeply regretted it later.
Assuming she will sleep when we get to our hotel to get over jet lag (she has a 28-hour journey). The following night it's off to the top-shelf Nightclub in Kuta Beach - Sky Garden. In addition to being a modern, upscale, bottle service, live DJ & hot dancing babes kind of place, it's packed with western 20's-ish vacationing babes AND local freelancer ladies who do not want to sleep alone. My SB is bi and told me, without prompting, that if she finds a hottie, she wants to make her welcome to stay in our room for the night (as long as the guest gets proper cash incentive from Daddy). Um... hmm... I guess that's ok. :P
The next day, I've booked a "Daybed by the pool" at the prominent Potato Head Beach Club (yes, that's really it's name) for a late afternoon-early evening beachside chill. No plans yet for the remaining 3 days... I'll probably leave these open for whatever she's interested in. But I have 2 or 3 back up activities on ice if needed.
Some factoids about the total 48-day trip:
1. Four cities across 2 countries: Thailand-Bangkok and Pattaya, and Indonesia-Jakarta and Bali
2. Assuming my libido holds out, I am optimistically hoping for 23 BCDs (21 without my SB) for an average "allowance" of $100 (Higher in Bangkok at $150 and gets lower with each following city down to $75 in Bali). Does not include possible threesomes. So if I spend, say $2,500 on 23 BCD's, that $2,500 in Los Angeles would probably only get me 5-8 BCD's. Does not include air, hotel, food, etc.
3. Applying for eVisas for each country was a PITA. But probably worth the 2-3 hours needed for each one to avoid long lines at Immigration in the airports.
4. I have located pharmacies and same-day test labs in each city. The costs are affordable - tests around $50-$75. Meds generally are also inexpensive. I shall get tested every 14 days.
Preliminary Conclusions: Even if the last 5 days go to shit when my SB shows up, this trip has the potential to be just fucking EPIC! And even if it's not epic, I still get to bang many, many, hot 18-25-year-old Asian spinners bareback.

Well Thailand - Bangkok and Pattaya - are considered the Mecca of Gogo Bars and similar establishments in Southeast Asia. One need only walk into a GoGo bar, Gents Club, or similar location, buy a drink for one or more of the 10-40 ladies and then put one in your metaphorical shopping cart and check out. Next there are massage spas in abundance: standard happy ending, oil, soapy, Nuru, CosPlay, and any other format you can imagine. In addition, there are freelancer girls littered all over the place. They don't work for a bar so you can skip buying drinks and paying "bar fines." And there are Nightclubs (dancing, bottle service, EDM, and civilian and freelancer babes) where you can party and if you have game or cash, you can take home a nice dish in a doggie bag, so to speak. Finally, the primary App is called ThaiFriendly. There are others; Tinder, ThaiCupid, etc. But TF is a never-ending supply of P4P babes.
In Indonesia (a majority Muslim country), the action is a bit more UTR, but only a bit. There are a few bars and nightclubs with hot babes (working and civilian) where you can make your best offer. But the most prevalent resources are the so-called "all in one" spas, usually located in various hotels. These spas will have tens up to hundreds of women who are available to take to a room for a rather low fee. And again, there are a few apps that serve as well: Seeking, Tinder, IndonesianCupid, etc.
I'm old and I have what's called a body fit for "Mom's Basement," so I don't expect I'll do well picking up non-freelancers in any nightclubs. My plan is to mostly pull from any of the adult-entertainment locations in Thailand and the "all in one" spas in Jakarta, with a sprinkling of freelancers from well-known locations on the street and from Apps.
Really, I am not worried about finding babes - not at all. If I have any worries, they are about my physical limitations. Imagine drowning in pussy and just being too old, fat, and tired to drink.

Kuta is where the cheap ass British and some Americanos hang out with the low lifes. Now the 50+ yo American girls looking for action (with the Kuta cowboys) will be totally satisfied, but a more sophisticated man like yourself will be somewhat disappointed in the offerings. I tend to hangout with a number of the higher-end artists in the country, so maybe my experience is not really relevant.
Now I think about it...I'd just be trying to pop your bubble, so have fun, but more importantly be EXTREMELY careful...things are often not what they seem and it's very easy to be taken advantage of by any number of characters on that part of the island.
Every perspective has value. You obviously have real hands-on experience in Kuta that I lack. You are absolutely correct. I've never been there. However, as I pointed out in one of the posts above, of all the cities I plan on visiting, my research agrees with your feedback. It's the least monger-friendly and least-resourced monger destination of the four.
To be honest, I only added an additional 5 days in Bali at the end of my trip because I will already be in Indonesia. So adding a short week in a popular and famous resort town, with almost zero expectation of getting good P4P was an easy decision. Not every destination is about sex-tourism. There! I said it and I mean it - almost. :p LOL
As it turns out, one of my current Los Angeles SB's asked to join me in Bali. My only cost: her airfare. So problem solved for only slightly more than I might have paid to stay longer in Bangkok, Pattaya, or Jakarta.
Please don't hesitate to pop bubbles that need popping. That's how we all learn.

If I was bringing my girl, and isn't this portion of the forum about sugar babies and such? I might consider Seminyak and that Bali has quite an unique culture based around the family unit, so it's interesting to explore that part.

So I mentioned she had a short trip to London planned a few weeks before meeting me in Bali. She left LAX as scheduled, but things derailed quickly. For reasons I don't understand and failed to inquire about, she booked a flight from LAX to Heathrow with a connecting flight - in Turkey! (Perhaps this was lowest cost?)
On the way from LAX her flight had to divert to Canada for a medical emergency. A passenger (not her) had a burst appendix. She was booked on a new flight to Turkey several hours later.
Upon arriving in Turky she was - have a seat for this - arrested by Turkish Customs police.
I got a text from her roommate 24 hours after the arrest. The roommate told me she had apparently been approached by a guy (at LAX or in Canada?) who convinced her to check one his bags as her own because he had "too many" with him. She agreed, and I'm sure you can see this warming up, she and the guy were arrested at the airport for - ok say it with me - weed in the bag.
Her disposition is uncertain. The roommate got her an attorney and is actively working to secure her release.
That's all I know. Could be a lie, could be a half-truth, or could be the real deal.
All I can do is wait. But my gut tells me that even IF she can ultimately get released, it will take more than the 3 weeks left before her flight to Bali, assuming she isn't placed on a US "no-fly" list. I am staying connected only through the roommate by text. I won't get directly involved in the process. And I'll be flying to Thailand next week anyway...

You're not a soothsayer who could have predicted it. She is an idiot for falling for it. I don't know a thing about Turkey's drug laws (guessing they is not exactly lax being a Muslim country) but thankfully for her she did not go to Russia. She would never be seen again.
What a mess! She was sooooo dumb to check someone else's bag as her own. Every person arrested with drugs on them has probably tried the "they are not mine" defense. She's got an uphill struggle ahead of her. Meanwhile, I hear the Turkish jails are not nice places to be stuck. I'd be surprised if she manages to join you in Bali as planned. But you are absolutely correct in keeping your distance from all this, it's not your problem to solve. Keep us posted!
Last I looked, a few years ago, Turkish Airlines did offer low-cost connecting flights from US to many places in Europe. So that part of the story is Kosher.
What I choke on is that anyone these days can be so naive as to take luggage from a stranger - there are public announcements NOT to do this all all major airport. Obvious reasons - multiple instances of bombs in the luggage, many more of drugs or other contraband.
So some questions:
- Is she that stupid?
- Did she have the money for such a trip to London, or is it more likely that she was relying on money from acting as a drug mule?
Her excuse - she was just given the luggage at the airport, and simply did the guy a favor - is a standard excuse given by drug mules.
I think it is very likely that she is guilty of drug smuggling.
A non-stop, round-trip ticket on British Airways runs around $650. I doubt you can do any better flying through Ankara or Instanbul.
Had a friend get arrested in Spain. I got a message about it. Contacted the State Department. In Spain they said their hands were tied and could only help find an attorney. Fortunately, it was minor and their DA, or whatever it's called, said to get out of the country and don't come back. Checking when they got back here, they have a warrant out for arrest with a 7 year statute. I also verified, unlike several other countries, it is not a crime to leave Spain to avoid charges. There are some countries which will another crime on for dodging a warrant that is 7 more years.
My advise, have the roommate call the State Department immediately. The embassy can try to help her.
Or unbeknownst to you, she is actually a drug courier. I would be scared shitless to travel with her.

Where will she get the money for an attorney? Attorneys aren’t cheap. Foreign countries don’t play. The attorney will want money and then there is the fine/fees to the Country or authorities. Don’t think you’ll hear from her for a while OR I wouldn’t answer the phone.
I think this is her way of letting you down painlessly! Nobody, not even a brainless SB would be stupid enough to check somebody else’s bag on an international flight! Prepare to serenade a bevy of suntanned, stunning Balinese girls instead! Boo hoo for you!!
I've been staying in touch with her roommate on the legal case. Won't go into details here. The key take away is that even if she can get back to the US before her scheduled flight to Bali, it's doubtful she will be able/ready/willing to travel.
So I decided to try to recoup my costs as much as possible. Here's how it breaks down:
1. Cancelled Airfare - total cost was $1,250. Of that I will get a $775 refund back in about 6 weeks.
Loss $475
2. Cancelled Transit Hotel room in Singapore Airport for her 8-hour layover. Full refund of $225 in about 2 weeks.
Loss $0
3. Cash provided to her in advance for miscellaneous costs (Visa, food & bev at airports, uber, SIM card, etc.), $230. This is gone as I gave permission to her roommate to send that amount to the Turkish lawyer as needed for prison costs.
Loss $230
4. Beach club reservation deposit in Bali - $152 with another $152 due upon arrival. I will keep this reservation and will look to invite another in her place. So not really lost. Worst case, I can go the beach club by myself (and hope no one tries to roll my fat-white-whale-body back into the ocean

Loss $0
That means my total cash loss is $705 of a total "investment" of around $1,857, or 38%.
This stings a bit, but it's not life changing. And I can now add $1000 (the remaining $152 is the beach club dep) back into my sugar/mongering fund for this trip or future BCD events.

Sorry to hear that... Did you not take out any insurance on the hotel and airfare? I always take out insurance policy when I travel.. Shit. I even take one out when I go out to shows. I took out $10 poilcy one time I was supposed to go see a comedian in DC. Got sick with food poisoning in the morning.. Saved me $200. it was a pricey ticket. Allianz is a good, reputable company if you want to look into this in the future. There are others too. In fact, if you buy ticket from Hotels, Expedia, you can insure your trip at the checkout.
Have you had chance to independently confirm that the story is truthful? Has the US Embassy in Turkey confirmed that she is there in their custody. Did you check on Internet to see if you found any relevant information about American flying to UK via Turkey being held due to marijuana? Trust but confirm can be a good motto sometimes.

But I did pay for a ticket that was changeable or cancellable - with a fee. I do have travel insurance and travel health insurance for my entire itinerary, of course. Thanks for the tip on Allianz.
I suppose I could try to verify / confirm but I really don't think I will. I have not offered, and won't be offering to provide any additional help, financial or otherwise, so at this point the veracity of the story is essentially moot. All that matters is that she won't be joining me in Bali.
I have spoken to her roommate a few times, and I don't see any telltale signs of duplicity. And I think after over a decade in the Sugar Bowl I am pretty good a spotting lies - or at least logical fallacies - from young women. LOL
If/when she is released, or if/when she lets me know she is back, I can decide how to proceed. For now, I am glad I didn't delete all my research on the P4P game in Bali!
