OK, is this in my head or what?

DATY, as I'm sure for many men, is one of my favorite things to do in bed, be it a provider or not. If I can't do it, I find that the experince as a whole loses some of its luster. I've done it with all but two of the providers that I've seen.

My issue is this... I have developed a VERY bad sore throat a week to ten days after DATY with a provider, both were well reviewed and respected on TER, twice. I'd say the two occurances happened 6-8 months apart. Am I being paranoid that I have some kind of throat STD, or is it just a coincidence that I happened to get sick after I saw these ladies?

The second time I got sick, I visited the doctor, but chickend out and didn't mention any of this to him. A week of antibiotics knocked it out.

Am I paranoid?

Yet another reason to see the doc AND obtain a diagnosis as soon as possible. Without a qualified medical professional physically examining you, it is truly impossible to ascertain what this is or how you became infected.

Please see a physician and DO mention any potential sexual activity if you are concerned. Having sexual relations is a normal occurrence and nothing to conceal from the doctor.

While sore throats are common so a sore throat after daty may very well be a coincidence, there are stds that can result from daty and give a sore throat like you describe.  These include chlamydia and gonorrhea among others. You should absolutely see a physician for a diagnosis.  You must tell him/her about daty, It will go into your medical record, but you don't have to describe the circumstances if that could be a problem.
