I've been chatting with a POT SB and trying to arrange some BCD time after a successful M&G.  She's had the usual array of SB excuses:  family obligations, working on launching her online business, hanging out with girlfriends, etc...

Yesterday, we agreed on terms, location (hotel) and date for initial BCD encounter.  Then she asks me do I use Apple Pay.  When I respond, "no", she offers to set it up for me.  Tell her, I prefer cash and she agrees.  Red flag?

I pay my #1 and #2 SB's by either PayPal or CashApp most of the time. But I only offered to do that after several dates.  

 
Watch out for her to ask for Apple Pay again right before the date time. If she does, time to bail because she will never show up for the date.  After you've successfully journeyed balls deep, you can make a judgement call on whether to pay her for future meets (ALWAYS AFTER - never before) by cash or online app.  

 
As for the online app of choice, Apple Pay requires you to add a credit or debit card to make a payment.  If you are worried about someone seeing your sugar payments on a bank statement, be careful what card you attach.

I've had a few potentials claim they needed babysitting money, or gas money or fill in the blank money in order to come and meet me.  I've sent a couple of $50 paypal gifts that way.  But they NEVER show up, it's always a scam of some sort.  As for Herb's admonition to only give money after the date, never pay in advance, I concur. So why would you need any method other than handing her some cash? If this SB does show up and accepts cash after you go BCD, then the request for Apple Pay was an anomaly, ignore it.  But it does seem odd and does get my spidey senses on high alert.

I don't see any alarms unless she wants the money before you meet.

First off, I wouldn't let her set up Apple Pay or let her be touching my phone.

But each girl may have a preference depending on the current crisis. Some girls are overdrawn on a bank account and don't want Zelle (which can have privacy issues for you unless you are careful with the email address associated with the account, or if you have an SO who has access).  Cash App or Venmo may cause an inconvenient delay or fee, or even cash can be an issue as with one girl of mine who has an out of state credit union account and the local ATM has issues with cash deposits (it takes one bill per transaction, so a wad of 20s takes forever). I've even deposited cash directly into a girl's bank account.  

What you use depends on your need for discretion.

Cash is king in privacy for both parties.

But, to reiterate the obvious, pay after play.  

I'm currently in another situation where I regretfully advanced a girl via Zelle that I had seen 5 or 6 times and thought  she was seemingly reliable. A few times I would be glad to advance her a day or two before our meet as there was usually a crisis for her and I became the hero. This last time I advanced her 6 weeks ago as she was moving into a new place and needed the extra money. Since then all hell broke loose in her life and she pretty much had gone MIA, but finally texts me last night that she has had a tough time and wants to come over between 9:30 and 10:00. It's now 2:35pm the next day and I'm still waiting. So learn from my bad experiences.

I've only paid in cash, and never until after BCD's activities.  Learned the hard way prior to reading this forum after paying 1 POT $100 to watch her eat and realizing that she looked nothing like her profile pictures.

My question was really about the request for Apple Pay and was that a true red flag or just a young lady and how she deals with transactions.

Planning to meet her soon for BCD activity.  Taking a chance as long as no other red flags raised.  

We all let the little guy make some bad decisions for us from time to time. lol
