The Erotic Highway

Not derogatory, just descriptive.

It seems to me that Semi-Pro is a term used primarily derogatorily here by many mongers...perhaps they believe that the young 20 y/o SB's they are fucking are somehow more " PURE " than more sophisticated ladies who simply prefer to have an occasional play date break from their regular job/profession and request a larger gift for their limited time ?
Certainly there are some ladies on SA who attempt to finance their entire life with Sugar Dating...some are FULL TIME PRO ESCORTS as well !
I would appreciate hearing how other mongers DEFINE the term " Semi-Pro "

... recently had a good definition ...  a pro is just a hooker who uses SA as another advertising tool ... a semi pro is someone also with many clients, but isn't so carefully "counting the hours."

A girl may or may not be aware that she's entered semi-pro status.  But if they have several SD's on a regular basis and are raking in the dough ... semi-pro is a useful category to describe them.

I don't think either pro or semi-pro is derogatory at all.   I know several pros now -- nice folks.

A man meets an attractive woman at a party and they strike up a conversation.   After some banter the man asks her point blank, would you have sex with me for a million dollars?   The woman replies in an instant that she would.   The man then asks her if she would have sex with him for one dollar.   The woman, taken aback, says indignantly "What do you take me for?"   The man replies that they have established that and they are now just quibbling over the price.

On a more cosmic level:  We are all whores, so what's the sense of trying to define things to a gnat's ass?

If you have a guaranteed method for discovering that a lady who has a professional career as a nurse, accountant, real estate agent etc. has " Many SD Clients "  I would certainly appreciate learning your technique for gaining that insight.
My experience in dating MANY 27+y/o SB's is that a lot of them enjoy dating a more mature gentleman than the 30-40y/o chauvinistic civvies who are constantly trying to just fuck them for the hell of it and show very little respect for them as ladies !  Yes of course, they need/want the $$$ but it's not just all about the $$$ for them so they are discriminate in choosing the SD's they will date...some more than others, some less so...but then who are we to judge them  for their decisions. ? ?

From my experience the term is useful to describe what the "typical" meeting is like with an SB. (Not that any given meet is typical, just like there is really no such thing as "normal" in this context.)
.
I look at it this way:
Regular: A "regular" or "pure" SB will usually meet me for a generally date-like experience. This might include a meal, some activity like a move, concert, wine tasting, etc. and BCD time.  The #1 and #2 SB's in my rotation are like this. Essentially they are part-time GF's when they are with me, and when not together, they do what ever they want.  They may or may not see other SD's. It's likely they do, as I am NOT signed up to fully finance their lives, though each has a decent job.
.
Semi-Pro: A "semi-pro" SB is mostly interested in just the BCD time. Invites for dinner or other activity are politely declined (and eventually I stop offering).  The #3, #4, #5 and #6 SB's in my rotation are like this. (There actually #'s 7-10, but those are more back up if 1-7 are AWOL.) The sex is just as enthusiastic and my overall out of pocket is lower as I'm not paying for dinner, travel, etc., though the sugar is generally the same. I have a few occasional (i.e.: less than once a month) SB's who started out asking just for BCD, but I see no evidence that they have pro ads posted, work for an agency, talk like a pro, etc. They just want to fuck me for cash and I assume they have other arrangements for the same.
.
Perhaps it's a factor of the high number of SB's in the greater Los Angeles area, but I can get away with insisting that the semi-pro's I see travel to me on their own dime. I won't travel to them, cover their Uber, give extra gas money, or buy them presents (except the occasional spiff or a requested sex toy). If they want the sugar, they need to be like Dominos Pizza and deliver in 30 minutes.

A pro does it full time, a semi-pro does not.
Niether has a place on SA which is exclusively reserved for pure girls.

I have one SB in my rotation who is a college student, has a part time job, lives with her BF, AND does some Sugar Dating.  Typical, right?  But she is totally comfortable proclaiming that she is a sex worker. So I'd call her a semi pro.

SA makes statements against anyone charging for sex because it is illegal and they would get shut down for facilitating it.  If they could legitimately make money off hookers, they'd do it in a heartbeat.

If they identify as a sex worker while going to school, working a civie job, only advertise on SA and doing this with a limited number of SDs, they can be semi-pros.  If they advertise on BP, Eros etc and this is the main income with many men. They are Pros. Either one is fine with me.  I met a pro this week on SA, sweet little squirter.  Pure fun.

Exactly!
I made the tongue-in-cheek comment about "more pure" because that's exactly what a 19 y/o babe told me when she found out my main SB was 32. - lol

Agreed it’s not derogatory, they just aren’t advertising on their own website or on TER. Lol just SA, secret benefits, or some other sugar site. Lol

Two obvious ways to know if a SB has multiple clients -- she tells you or she's one SA a lot even after your session with her.  I also encourage them to be non-exclusive, since I haven't the time or budget to keep them in luxuries full time.

SA currently has a "wink, nod. Don't ask, don't tell" policy that up till now is working quite well for all parties concerned.

and to tell the truth they are making money off of hookers, they are just smart enough to try and downplay it. I am like mnay of the guys here, I LIKE hookers, and I don't mind at all the fact that there are so many pros and semi pros along with the "pure" SB's on SA.

I don't know about the rest of you guys, but I don't always want to spend an entire evening with a 20 year old, pretending that we are boyfriend and girlfriend.  Sometimes I just want to fuck.

I've never had someone before the meetup ask to go to dinner, a drink etc. One asked to meet nearby at a coffee shop to see if we would get along. But then she called and said she'd just come over.  The girls come over ready to fuck.  They are sex workers, maybe lower volume, or for a short time tut that is what it is and they do it for the money, not because some 50 year old eats pussy better than a 25 year old!

I’ve found that pros and semi-pros message me to go BCD that night.

I message a mid 30's young lady who states that she travels to my area occasionally for business.  She replies with available days and request 700/date.  I counter offer with 400 and she accepts.  We set up a meet in 3 days and I suggest we meet in the hotel lobby or nearby restaurant for a drink prior to our date.  She declines stating that immediately after  our BCD time she has to run back to a work function.  I  inform her that without meeting face-to-face in public, there would be no BCD time.  She refuses to meet and cancels; but then reaches out the following week to schedule again.  I passed.
