I happened to just listen to this interview on NPR and thought that the book sounded interesting.  Then I of course thought, "What would the Love Goddess think of this book/author?"

I think I may have to add this to my bedside stack of reading.

it seems like a very pleasant read. Mind you, in Europe, fetishisms and S&M play have been removed as diagnostic categories subject to psychiatric "treatment." We should think about this as we move forward with our own questionable revision of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders.

On the flip side, please note that Sweden gained over 400,000 "perverts" overnight, when in 1998, soliciting a prostitute under any circumstances became a felonious crime for which the Swedish state administers either prison or "psychological rehabilitation" for offenders.
