My seat of the pants impression is that a large percentage of local SBs identify as Latin/Hispanic.  So today I decided to search each ethnicity and find out what the percentages actually are. Hey, gotta find ways to occupy my mind during quarantine, right?  Here's what I discovered:

What I find interesting is that the first two categories account for 76% of the total.  The next two, Other and Mixed account for another 15% but those two categories are kinda meaningless. The bottom 6 are only 9% altogether.  I also think it's interesting that we have more Native Americans than Black/Africans, and that Black/African are such a small percentage.  My location in the Southwest explains these odd results.  I bet these numbers are very different for your locations.  Anybody care to do the math and post your results here?

I didn't count but lots of black girls, lots of Hispanic, lots of white girls.

The numbers I find here in N Texas that I find surprising are not that White girls are the majority,  but the surprisingly low number of Latinas at less than 15% in Texas of all places. I do have a possible explanation for the very low number of Black girls in your area, many black girls have told me that racism is rampant in the Sugar World with countless male profiles with the dreaded "No AA's need apply" I bet you a large percentage of your Mixed and Other girls are for all intents and purposes black girls. That would raise your numbers up to a more reasonable 18% or so number of black/mixed black/other girls, which isn't that far off of the 24% black/mixed black/other girls we have in my area.

 
I do have to believe the black girls when they tell me this, because I get a very high percentage of black girls messaging me first, which very likely is because the guys aren't messaging them first. I am fine with that, more pussy for me. lol I think it also accounts for the reason I have had a lot higher percentage of black SB's than I ever did black providers, it's not that I am out there looking for them, they seem to come looking for me. lol

I think it is pretty well universal that black girls have less options in general in dating.  Nevertheless I don't think that stops them from trying.  So I tend to view percentage representation on sugar sites as "aspirational."  Even if they give up eventually, there is always a fresh new innocent crop coming online.

I don't doubt that racial prejudice makes things difficult for black girls, particularly in the south.  But I don't think that's operative here where I live.  I just went to my state's department of health data website and looked at the ethnic distribution percentages statewide.  They actually are very close to the SA numbers I posted.  There are only 2.0% blacks in our state, and 2.7% black girls on SA.  So if anything, the number of black girls sugar dating is above what you'd expect from the general population figures.

As GaGa suggested, my experience is that perhaps as much as 85-90% of those who check "mixed" are black. So I also combine those to see a probable black population of 27.8% - which seems about right for the area.

And since I (almost) never initiate contact, I too, see a majority of black POT's messaging me.  And as a result, over half of my SB's over the last 7+ years were/are black.

The elusive POT's are Asian. I've only had three Asian SB's (not including a few one-time BCD's and a few Asian strippers) and only one, my third, was met through the site. The 1st was before SA, on a site called WYP, and the second I met through a web cam sight - but that's a story for another post.

It might be interesting to also pull some data by:  
- Profiles mentioning "platonic" vs. terms like "FWB" or similar.  
- Breakdown by tags, especially "Luxury Lifestyle". I suspect a correlation between "Luxury" & GPS, while those who state or suggest a need for more basic help like school, rent, or bills, are happier with a more moderate allowance and end up with longer-lasting arrangements.

Here is my dilemma  about posting percentages. Within 10 miles of Atlanta:
All = 10,000+
Black = 10,000+
White = 5,869
Latin = 1,885
Asian = 444

Over the last few years, I haven't had a lot more Asian SB's that I have found on any of the SB sites than you. I have had a few Asian hookers make the transition from hooker to SB, or FWB, but they don't count for our purposes on this thread.  

 

I don't know if fully half of my SB's have been black, but it's a very high percentage. Actually with my Chinese girl going back to Taiwan a few days ago, my rotation is down to three, of which two of them are black.

The numbers Sweetman posted seem right for the SW.  my current rotation have a girl who is 1/2 East Indian and 1/2 white.  Another girl how is half Navajo and have Japanese, and 2 white girls who can be pretty ghetto.  So do I calm them all mixed?  

I tried to argue otherwise a couple of years ago, and then I took inventory of all the Black SB's I have had and compared their "allowance" to the SB's of all other races and YES, it really does appear that "on average" Black SBs, just like Black hookers do make less money than their White, Latina, Asian counterparts. (K-Girls excluded where it comes to Asian hookers of course)

 
I have never created a fake SB account like some have done to see what the other guys are putting on their profiles but I have had several Black POT SB's tell me that "no AA" policies are quite common on the profiles of White POT SD's.  

 
Please remember I did say "on average" I have seen several black POT SB's who were absolute knockouts and who definitely had cases of GPS.

At least one of the black SB's I've met did claim discrimination.  I think OK Cupid analysis does prove that black women are the least likely to get responses.  But from what I see in the Minnesota SB dating pool, black SB's are disproportionately represented.  There are far more seeking than their percentage of the population.  Just on competition for that segment, they are in a difficult position.

Since it is frequently for college money, do you think it has something to do with the fact that Asians are more likely to get a scholarship? That’s just a wild guess. Or is it a symptom of some other aspect of Asian culture maybe?

The thing that puzzles me about this is how easy it is to find an Asian pro. At least C-girls and K-girls. And the Asian providers are generally on the lower end of the scale for price (with notable exceptions you can find here on TER).

It somehow seems counterintuitive that they’d be so hard to find in the sugar bowl.

I think they are just OVER represented in the hooker world. The percentage of Asians in this country is only about 5% of the total, I think most of the guys here have reported similar numbers in the Sugar Bowl

 
As for Asian girls getting less in the Hooker world, I think that's mainly a factor of the numerous lower priced Asian Agencies, if you look at the rates for Asian indies, I think you will find they are on par with "White girls" and higher than the  average independent Black or Latina providers

In my area Asians make up 38% of the population. Has anybody already checked the representation on Seeking of Asians in Silicon Valley or just Santa Clara County?

I just did a 25 mile search from San Jose, I filtered out only fat broads, and came up with 3,645 total POT SB's I then narrowed it down to just Asians and Pacific Islanders and I got 698 results, far from 38 percent I know, but still a sizeable number of Asian girls.

Too funny, a few hours ago I got "favorited" by a 19 years old Asian girl (Chinese and Vietnamese) from San Jose, another one of those POT SB's looking for an "online only" arrangement, hard pass.

...and only returned to So Cal a few years ago. I was stunned by the number of Asian women in the Bay area. Note that Asians include women from India (and Pakistan). But although I saw a fair number of AAMP providers and the area is well known for Viet Bikini Coffee Shops, my sugar experience only had about a 5% mix of Asians, compared to about 40% Latina, 35% AA, and the rest Caucasians (including Persians).

Why? I'm not an expert on Asian culture, but empirically, I can tell you I saw a higher-than-normal amount of GPS from Bay area Asians, and  (I believe) they were less accepting of less-attractive SD's (hey, I'm old and fat, ok?).  Note that although I looked hard to find Indian women SB's (and pro's) they were the most elusive category. Never connected with a SE Asian/Indian SB, and was only aware of one super-hot Indian pro. Though I did see ads for a few dozen Indians over the years who were not attractive and who's ads looked like ROBs.

If I had any civvie game (I do not), I would have been neck deep in hot 18-28 yr old Asians picked up at SF hot spots along the Embarcadero or in North Beach.

GPS makes perfect sense to me.

It has certainly been common in my interactions with Asian women for nearly 10 years. Prior to that I didn’t see it at all.

In my civvie life I’ve had many Asian women come after me until I was in my mid 50’s. The change was probably in the fact I actually look about 50 now and health problems have enabled my weight to go up considerably. So, yeah, I don’t look like that guy who used to race half marathons anymore. But I’m sure it’s also been impacted by the shift in attitudes towards Asian women now. Sometime in the last 10 years Asian women have climbed to the top of the popular female beauty chart. And that in turn has caused them to realize they can be much more choosy.
