With all the announced changes on Seeking in the last several weeks, there have been a few unannounced changes as well. One of the most significant, in a bad way, is what appears on my home/landing page when I log in. In the past, this page showed a seemingly endless scroll of profiles from my general area. It was essentially an unfiltered search of the greater Los Angeles area. I liked it because it often showed me profiles that I had missed in my search results due to filters.
But now, it's just a clutter of profile pics from anywhere and everywhere. Why the fuck would I want to see profiles from cities halfway across the country? Now I seem to get profiles from Phoenix to Utah, from Reno to Chicago or even further east. I need only tweak my search settings to select a different city if desired.
I think what Seeking is missing is that of all the search filters available on the site, location and range are by far the most important. Even a seriously affluent SD will not typically want to fly to Boise just to meet a POT (or want to fly her to him) when there are viable choices within 20 miles, or even up to 100 miles for those in Pussy Siberia.
The effect is to turn the home page into a thirst trap filled with click bait. Ok so it may generate incremental "engagement" for SB profiles - an important (if useless) metric for the marketing team. But it's just churn when you click on a hottie's pic only to realize she's too far way to be a practical choice. The site is called "Seeking," not "Travelling."
My experience is sorta different. I'm seeing random profiles from my state, plus the 5 or 6 surrounding states. I'd say, a 1000 mile radius. Plus just a few outliers who live way across the country. It's entertaining viewing hotties from all over. But no, I'm def NOT going to hop on a plane to meet someone for coffee when there's still plenty of locals to get my attention. Even here in Siberia.
Great destination. I was there around 2003 and it was an off the hook experience. Freelancers in almost every bar/club, and many locations offering on-site rooms with a bed.
Sounds like you will have time to check out the Bagdad Night Club. They have live sex shows and, as I recall, in the final act the lady pulled a guy from the audience (probably NOT a plant) onto the stage, drooped his pants, put on a hat and let him bang her for several minutes (no climax when I was there, but maybe?)
LOL - I wish! My #1 will be there most of the time, and she's a stickler for observing proper, old fashioned behavior. The other thing that catches one's eye is there must be a sex shop on every corner - and the Spanish treat them just like we would a convenience store!
