I wouldn't have the answer to any of them at hand. When people come to see me as a therapist, they've usually had some cataclysmic internal or external event that prompts them to 'take action.' Since some drop out of therapy at an early stage [more men than women, sad to say] I never get to hear the conclusion.

Maybe a question for the next TER poll?

I'd say it's probably still about 50%.

Here's why:

When couples divorce for reasons other than infidelity, they often are just sick of each other and don't do very much about trying to save the marriage.

On the other hand, when a wife learns of her husbands infidelity, there is a frantic attempt make to save the marriage by going to councelling and I thing that councelling goes a long way towards repairing the marriage.  The experience also makes the guy be a lot more careful not to get caught a second time.

What happened to me?  I got caught a second time.

I guess 3 is closest to me. I actually knew in advance that my wife would not object to me seeing providers. I guess I have a pretty cool wife, eh?
