when I've seen data such as that which you referenced, if any of them took it a step further and measured the number of 'thrusts', if we were to take the missionary position as an example.
I know from experience, and from some emails sent to me from other gents, that more often how long we last seems to relate to how many thrusts are experienced in a certain time frame. If we 'bang' and are around 1 thrust per 1-2 seconds, we will ejaculate much sooner. If instead we use our penis almost like a slower internal 'finger' massage, we can go for much longer periods of time. 10-15-20-30 minutes. This is especially handy when stimulating the area around the cervix.
I don't know if you are familiar with the work of Dr. Lin, but in reading his research he makes note that if men wait until they are fully hard, and also in a 'locked in' state (where they can, via lower abdomen expansion, balloon the head of the penis), they will better be able to control ejaculation without needing to rely on pc contractions as much. Speaking from personal experience, and again feedback from others who've tried it, it works much better than the desensitizing sprays and other 'tricks' like counting baseball stats for controlling the release point.
Lg,
You don't realize it, but you made me (and I bet others) feel a lot better when you casually mentioned that the average man shoots in about 2.5 minutes in that post down below.
After reading all those reviews about guys banging their partners or being banged for 15,20, even 30 minutes or longer, I really felt inadequate. I've often wondered how guys could last that long.....I know I've never been able to. Of course I've always considered a long foreplay session with a lot of teasing a huge part of it. The main event is always over sooner than I'd like it to be.
Dear Brad45M,
Yours is not a question and under normal circumstances it would be disapproved as a duplicate post.
But here's your Xmas present - some more data:
In a German study, it was found that premature ejaculation is highly relative. Men who came to a urology clinic with a chief complaint of premature ejaculation had the same time to ejaculation as normal men who had no such complaint. All the men in the study were married for at least two years and made love regularly. They were asked to use a stop watch to measure their time to ejaculation and to keep diaries. The premature ejaculators went from start of intercourse to ejaculation in an average period of 2:32 minutes. The healthy volunteers had an average time of 3:01 minutes. The differences were not statistically significant.

I'm just sayin'....

While I'm obviously outside of the norm, I can last anywhere from 5 minutes to 30. A portion of it depends on the lover I'm with, chemistry, and type of condom. Sex, even for us guys, is still very much a mental thing. Anticipation and lust are two very powerful feelings that can effect how your body responds. Learning to control my thoughts and feelings allow me to prolong the experience. Ever since I was a young adult I had also adopted the policy that the girl should get her "cookies" first. It'll certainly make her come back for more when she knows that she'll be satisfied before you pop.
Pacing yourself physically is very important. If I'm alone I can easily get myself off in under 3 minutes, mainly because that's my primary goal. If your primary goal is to satisfy your woman first, and then yourself second, you'll find it's easier to create a pace that is conducive to that aim. You also won't be (albeit potentially unjustly) as a selfish lover. One technique that you might want to also look into is tantric sex. It's not easy, but if you can master it you will wonder how you went so long without it. Good luck ![]()
I'm 100% with xtheory on this.
On any number of occassions, chemistry with a partner is key. She can either make you or break you. From discussions and overhearing my friends talk, they always refer to their own personal satisfaction. On the contrary, my satisfaction hereinlies my partner. Nothing is sweeter, sexier and loving as satisfying your partner first. From previous experience, this is enjoyable two folds. By satisfying her, you've shifted your attention to her. I have found that this heightens their emotions and will allow her to respond to you alot quicker and easier during the session. And secondly, what is hotter than when you AND your partner are simultaneously having an orgasm? This makes things more fun and the heighten levels of arousal is simply breathtaking.
Counting cards, numbers, cars, etc in your mind while thrusting takes all the fun out of the intamitcy. Enjoy it and lose yourself in it by satisfying your partner first. It makes things that much more enjoyable.
Good luck. ![]()
It also helps to have frequent orgasms yourself throughout the week, even if it's from masturbating. Not only is it good for your prostate, heart, and mood, but it will help with your longevity when you're with your woman. I find that I climax a lot quicker when I've got pent up sexual energy from not having a release on a regular basis. While some men masturbate too much, some don't enough! Perhaps some people still have that Victorian-era shame about it, which they really shouldn't.
Having a regular self release will also tune you into your own body's cues and triggers. If you can predict an oncoming orgasm 1-2 minutes ahead of time you can ease off the gas or try switching positions to something that is still enjoyable but won't end the party too soon.
One challenge that will show that you can master your climaxes is to be able to be able to cum just a little, stop for a couple seconds, and then finish it all the way. It is the true male multiple orgasm since it feels the same for the first part as it does the grande finale.
