Help with Pimeyes

So I finally got around to checking out the Pimeyes site.  Unlike others I've tried, like Tineye, which are image search engines and mostly worthless, Pimeyes seems to be a useful facial recognition program.  I upload a photo, it homes in on the face, and shows other pics it has found with the same face.  I just tried it with a pic from a girl 1000 miles away from me who is asking me to go to whatsapp or telegram (2 red flags right there imo).  Pimeyes found 10 other pics of her.  But since I am only using their free service, they are only providing blurred images and a shortened part of the URLs the pics were found at.  Not enough of the URL to actually click on it and see what kind of website it is.  But it's enough to know that she appears on 10 other websites.  If I want clear pictures and the ability to click through to the other sites I have to pay Pimeyes $30/month.  Is it worth it?  Are you guys doing this?  Are there other equally useful photo sites you recommend?

Like you, I did some test runs and found it difficult to get to specific possible dupes without paying.  My fear is that the search engine may be really good at finding people who look A LOT like the subject but may not actually be the same person. For me, that could be worse than finding a positive match. I don't want to be making "investment" decisions on mistaken identities.

In the last 2 months I have been using a paid subscription for Been Verified (link below). I pay $58.48 plus tax every 3 months for up to 100 checks per month. It's been worth it so far as I get a "hit" about 30% of the time using phone, email, or (best if you can get it) full name. Adding age, city and address helps in searching as well.  It's legal (at least in California), as long as you constrain your use to the site rules (mostly that you won't use this for "commercial" purposes).  By the way, I use this for existing and past SB's from time to time, just to see if there is anything I need to know about. Case in point: One of my past SB's had an arrest record for drugs, theft and embezzlement.  Fortunately, I was not one of her victims. But even the idea that I may have been out with her somewhere where ID's need to be checked, like an airport, hotel or spa (yes, upscale Spas ask for IDs!), and she ends up getting arrested... NOPE!

I may decide to TOFTT on primeyes, unless someone here already has and can share.....

I think you answered your question.. the fact that there are these images elsewhere adds to the red flags you already have. I don't believe it's worth the $$$ since you can never be 100% sure it's accurate. I've had some decent results with Google Lens search where you may find it the same image is posted elsewhere (not the same as facial recognition but matching photos in context, usually on social media).

I use this. https://facecheck.id/  Works great, and cheaper than Pimeyes, but you need Bitcoin account, which I like as anonymous

Thanks for the info!  I too have noticed some images that look like the subject, but maybe not identical.  But others really do clearly seem to be the same person.  I have to wonder, how many different websites does a girl have to be found on before it constitutes a red flag?

So I just looked at the Been Verified site, and it seems like it's not useful if all you know about a girl is her SA profile info.  There's no reverse image search or facial recognition.  And the screen name search feature is useless if her SA screen name is Joan or Anna, etc.  I'm hoping to find a way to research the POTs without any other info in order to decide if contact is warranted.

I've been using TruthFinder to reverse lookup POTs phone numbers, followed by a TruthFinder Person report once I identify a likely real name from the phone number reverse lookup.

I have used Pimeyes with far better success than any other reverse image service. It has found some false positives, of course, but it yielded several accurate results as well. That said, I may never use it again, because I paid the one month subscription and then cancelled it. Clearly did that. However, for a few months following they continued to bill my credit card, yet I could not use the service. Despite complaints, there was no support and I had to do some charge backs. Finally, my bank insisted I had to close that card so they could issue me a new one.

When Pimeyes finally did respond I received an apology as they said there was a glitch on their end. But that whole affair was such a hassle, I can't see using it again.

I have used Been Verified for years and have found it enormously valuable. Definitely found some useful information that made me run from a few POTs, including one that, as it turned out, was on parole as a child sexual predator! In this case, she was a teacher's aide who had sex with a couple of high school students. However lately it has had some glitches as well with some saved reports disappearing. ,

That was not my experience. When Facecheck was free, it clearly gave better results than Pimeyes on the searches I ran - and I ran a lot. Of course, Facecheck is now virtually useless unless you pay (which requires use of Crypto),  apart from confirming photos are out there in rough locations.

Has anyone got experience with Yandex - how does t compare to Pimeyes (or Facecheck)?

I find it no better than Tineye and that ilk. Plus you are providing data to the Russians.

Be assured, they already have it!
