I know....barely a heartbeat. But everything just seemed so blissful. I thought for sure we were destined to be together. Ahhhh what a chump!!

Indeed. Some of the best advice I've ever heard came from my mechanic. After a breakup a few years back, he saw how depressed I was, and said:

I tend to over commit emotionally very easily and prematurely.  I know this about myself and am not surprised anymore when I start having feelings for my playmates.  But one SB in particular was extremely special to me.  We did love each other, in our own ways.  So when she broke it off it broke my heart.  And I don't regret it one tiny bit!

I do believe the experience is worth it, even if once it's gone I'm disappointed because I miss it.  

Yep, it happened here, too.  Still suffering the aftershocks.  Like old Frank Sinatra sang, sometimes they get under your skin.  Don't feel stupid because you cared.

I felt that way after a four week affair.  

Been there so many times that it feels like getting heartbroken is my full time job, lol.
