Dear OhioBoy58,

Funny you should ask - I delivered my oral defense (no pun intended) today and was awarded the PhD diploma this evening, based on the study. I did thank everyone profusely for participating when the survey period was over, and I did so again today, in the absence of those 584 kindly individuals who filled out the survey.

As to the results: I cannot publish them anywhere until I have submitted the article for publication, the submission of which will happen within the next three weeks. These are the rules of academic publishing. As soon as the article has been accepted for publishing, all will be revealed. I'm hoping this will be within a few months.

I wish I could have been there as you nervously anticipated their questions.  Then after a long pause they say "We've reviewed your thesis and only have two questions-  Number one, please explain the efficacy of the "No Mas Strategy."

Number two, compare and contrast the "I've Fallen For a Provider and Can't Get Up Paradox" with typical client/provider behavior."

You take a deep breath and quietly say to herself "Yeah baby, I've got this!"  

And then to your horror, in the nano second before your brain has time to stop your mouth, you uncontrollably blurt out "I can't answer that question one more time!  Just do a fucking search!"  :-)

as I received my diploma after the 3 hour oral defense presentation!

Now it's time to condense the 209 page dissertation into something a journal can accept - that will take appx 3 weeks and then it's wait, wait, wait until I get the green light. In the meantime, there are abstracts submitted to conferences. I suspect that as soon as the article is published, the news will hit like a bomb in the popular media - hobbyists are "normal people!"
