Sometimes girls don't feel security as there have been incidents where the guy may not give anything after intimacy. If you had shown her an envelope right when you walked in the room, her mood could be different. Not sure what moody signs she gave you but if she did show up at the date then she must be ready for the whole nine yards, but somewhere in the middle she changed her mind.
Does she deserve an allowance, at least something for her time if you are kind, especially if she paid for the room or took you to her place, and if you did made out a bit even if "nothing" happened.

I have met several SB’s who wanted to be paid upfront because some guys didn’t pay afterwards (these assholes ruined it for us good guys). I usually suggest I pay half upfront or leave the money on the table so she knows I am real. They all agreed to the compromise.
I would leave some token allowance if you two did go to a hotel room and made out a little. She did spend some time with you. GaG would probably say I am a softie. LOL.

I would both try to make her comfortable in being 'intimate" with me, but at the same time reinforcing the idea that "allowance starts with intimacy" We can have as many non sexual dates as she wants, but she's not going to get paid for them. I of course will be more than happy paying for dinner, drinks etc, just like I would on a civvie date where we haven't slept together yet.

If there’s no play, there’s no pay. I usually just cover some expenses and maybe get them an Uber if theees no play at all. I’ve only ended up in bed with a couple of girls where no real sex happened.
