Got this email from Wade today.  Here's the most relevant part:

Real-time Warnings: Messages suggesting transactional or compensated dating will trigger an immediate warning, giving users the opportunity to reconsider and align with our community guidelines.

So heads up guys.  Any casual references to allowances will probably trigger a warning, leading to getting banned from the site.  Any explicit discussion of money will certainly do so. I've been careful to move offsite for discussing those aspects of an arrangement.  But I slip up sometimes!  Mustn't do that any more!  I wonder if this wrning will be applied to the ladies as well as the men?

There's also a dubious "Educational Penalties" system coming. I will add a link to the full message.

Additionally, penalized members will experience restricted search visibility with newer members for seven days post-suspension."

 
So, I guess they finally backed off the "death penalty" for all slights, errors, and violations that has plagued Papa Sweet and others here so many times. It appears they will now have a progressive discipline process that will include a suspension rather than insta-ban.  

 
I guess that's good? But will it be applied equally to both men and women?

And remember, there is still a (significant?) price hike to be announced. That's probably how they plan on paying for the massive advertising campaign they promised in the same email.

Time will tell. While I think the warning system is a great idea compared to an outright ban, it will be interesting to see it in practice. They obviously know they must keep the men as this is where the money is. They've been unusually lenient on the women for the same infractions they penalize the men for, most likely because they know they need the women to attract the men and keep them paying. What is baffling is that by allowing the women such latitude, Seeking has exposed themselves to pressure or threat by FOSTA!  

I wish they'd develop a warning system and ban threat for the women who flake out on M&G's.

I find Brandon and Dana's attitudes so disingenuous and small minded.  Who are they to say what constitues an authentic meaningful relationship?   A committed, monogamous, married relationship is certainly one way to go.  And if that suits them, well, congrats.  But there are so many other kinds of ways a relationship can be constructed, ways that are valid and worthwhile and meaningful for the parties involved.  And "authentic connections without the trappings of material or superficial expectations." is just plain bullshit.  Do you think Dana would have hooked up with Brandon if he was broke?  Give me a break.  Every relationship has elements of being transactional, from the most traditional of marriages to picking up a street hooker.  I'm ranting, I'll stfu.

If they are happy more power to them, I won't fault finding true love but there is something really creepy about that photo. I suppose it's easy to criticize and who am I to judge others but I agree it generates an icky feeling. I've seen interviews with Wade and I don't know why but I really don't like the guy but can't put my finger on the reason. Maybe he triggers repressed memories from my childhood lol?  

It's pretty certain that their actions are based on financial considerations.

His interest is waning and he probably is ready to bail and move on.
