Are you only talking to POT's who are online when you are? That's the only condition I can think of where this "online now" matters. IME, any POT that is online or was online within the last 2-3 days is viable.
I live in a big metro area and the number of potential SB's is amazing - dozens if not hundreds of profiles to view. Like most, I tend to browse the web at about the same time of day when I do. And when I do, I've noticed many of the same profiles being online or recent (i.e. it appears that many ladies also browse at around the same time when they do). But then, I logged in at a different time of day and I noticed that many if not most of the profiles were different (the benefits of big city living). So here is my question to those more experienced. Has anyone had the same observations? Is there a better time of day / day of week to browse? Is there a better time to search for something ongoing or alternatively, a PPM? Thanks. Be safe.

It's not practical to expect a non-pro POT to be online and presumably actively monitoring incoming messages 24x7. It's even less practical to expect an SD to do so, since we have, by definition, lives/careers/business/etc. that keep us busy. Not to mention that an SD who is online 24x7 with nothing else to do than troll for a 20-ish SB is likely to come across as a loser to POT SB's. They want to meet successful, well-rounded, well-funded, interesting, and BUSY guys who are short-cutting the dating process. Not minimum-wage, married/divorced gas station cashiers who wish they could get laid. Not implying that is you, but what image are you projecting if you are online too much?
Actually as I write this, it occurs to me you could be looking for a quick pump and dump hook up. So online POT's are needed to go from message to text to BCD in minimum time. Nothing wrong with that. But is it limiting your potential to build a stable rotation of fresh, sweet pussy available for prescheduled or on-demand BCD?
Next to (at last) address your actual question; I suppose the best time to search within a 24-hour cycle depends on who you are trying to find. If it's college students who are likely in class from 8 am to 4 pm, then afternoon to late evening is probably optimal. If it's low-wage workers who a probably in retail or food service, then perhaps late night (after 11 pm) to late morning is best. If it's MILF's who want to step out for a Daddy Fling, then perhaps late morning to early afternoon (say 9 am to 5 pm) works as the Hubby is probably at work and the kids are probably in day care/school.
So perhaps you are best qualified to answer your own question by considering what type of SB you are most interested in meeting (note: "meeting" = fucking .
I think we would all appreciate hearing back from you if you spend some time testing various time slots and can report any significant findings.

since I'm a retired dude with nothing better to do that troll for SBs or ride my motorcycles! But I've def noticed more are online and more reply quickly late in the evening. As Herb said, many are college students with classes during the dya. they tend to stay up late and do their own trolling. However I don't think being online at any given time makes any difference to your success rate. What's much more important is learning how to send them a message that will interest them enough to reply and get a conversation going.
I log in 24/7. Not continuously, but off-and-on around the clock. The only trend I've noticed is when logging on between 2-4 AM, I receive more messages that are obvious scam artist. Sometimes, if bored and awake, I'll entertain myself, play along and see how far they go.
So 2-4 AM your time might be the middle of the afternoon where they are.
Personally, I get the scam messages all throughout both the day and night.
That's true. The last time I got a phone call from someone impersonating a police detective alleging some sort of investigation due to a complaint against me, blah. Blah. I called the police department and our atty general's office. They both told me the same thing. It's a scam, probably originating out of the country so nothing can be done. They spoof local phone numbers. Don't talk to them or engage in any way. Just ignore.
Spoofing phone numbers happens because the carriers allow it. That kind of malfeasance is a scandal in itself.
Apologies for a dumb question but what is SB? Urban Dictionary doesn't define it?
thanks.
