Actually I could make the argument that the opposite is true

I don't know about you guys but in my neck of the woods in the past week we're up to 40% hookers. In addition to the existing 45% skittish toe-dippers this leaves 15% real arrangement seekers that everyone is competing over. Prices are going up.

In other words, are there the same number of real SBs out there but their ratio is lower because of an influx of escorts, or has the actual number of SBs fallen off?

If the latter, then why do you think that is?

Asks may be going up, but you describe an influx of competitors. Price pressure would seem to be the other way.

Also I have only been playing in the bowl about 4 months this winter.  Due to school schedules I imagine there is a seasonal component to availability???

an increase in "supply" almost never has the impact of raising prices. Unless you are arguing that hookers are crowding "real SB's" out of the market and I have seen ZERO evidence to support that argument, then hookers in the Sugar Bowl are going to bring the price of hookers down, and should have no impact on the "allowance" that the SB's already in the bowl are going to ask for.

If you don't want hookers, simply ignore the hooker profiles, it's not hard to tell the difference between the two. Personally I don't mind having hookers in the sugar bowl at all. Some days I prefer a hooker to an SB.

I can only report what I'm seeing. The hookers aren't moving below 400-500 and the hookerish SBs are now up in the 400 range. While a year ago I could find plenty of "real arrangement" ones between 150 and 300 this year my batting is zero. The trend began around Sept., before fosta, so I don't know what's going on.

I'm sending the same opening messages and I've only aged 1 year :)

But respondents are either "just checking it out" types who correspond to the finest detail of the arrangement, set up a M&G and then crickets. The responses from anyone over 26 is "immediate arrangement, skip the coffee"

More hookers, some that I even know and visit in the bowl. Actually think they're rates may go down if they are being impacted by the legislation and having to compete with sb's. I'm in a college town so there is no shortage of new young coeds. The main thing is for you guys not to overpay and create a nationwide epidemic of gps

but the last overt hooker that contacted me was only looking for $180 hr and she was pretty decent looking. I will most likely be seeing her the next time I am near where she is located. The one before her was asking $400 for the "date" and when I pressed her how long a "date" was, she replied there was no time limit and we could spend several hours together.   Ironically I just had another pretty obvious hooker contact me an hour or so ago. I am waiting to hear her "ask" from off site of course.

Yes, even in Texas these rates are higher than the "real" SBs tend to ask for, but hardly unreasonable rates for hookers, good looking ones at that.

In another context, there's a rather interesting social science case study here. Could have led to a published paper or book on human behavior and the commercialization of sexuality.  But fuck that, I just want to bang 20-ish hotties. :P
.
Given the new laws and subsequent reaction of web service sites, I would expect the following scenarios to exist in parallel:
.
1. Pro's, lacking a well-known and well understood advertising channel, could test the Sugar space to see if they can sustain (or even grow) revenue from the pre-law world. These pro's would likely initially set their expectations equal to their web ad rates in the hope of a simple substitution of clients from a new source. Then finding that their typical rates are slightly overmarket in the sugar bow, I'd expect them to come down to eventually equal the current sugar market values. This may mean they need to take more effort to get and retain clients by messaging more proactively, offering longer dates for the same value, and engaging in more social activities outside of their usual work location (trick pad). One possible aspect that they may not anticipate, but will probably appreciate, is that SD vetting may actually prove easier and more accurate than regular client vetting. Why? Because a SD (more so for un-married than married) will probably be more upfront with info like phone, email, real name, employment, etc.
2. Semi-Pros may become aware of the influx of pro's and react by also adjusting sugar expectations down in order to head off the new competition. Or they may not care and will just do what they do...
3. Non-pro's, noobs, and others may see a reduced "engagement" rate as SD's in their area who are talking to more POT SB's (the newly arrived pros) and so they may either also reduce sugar expectations, proactively engage more POT SD's, or, considering how tentative many of the newer or more casual SB's are, they may just drop off the site.
.
Taken individually, each of these could affect sugar and length/activity of sugar dates going forward. But as they are all influencing the "market" simultaneously, rates could slide higher or lower in the short term, and (my guess) generally lower in the long term.  Unless...
.
Unless some new SD's (mostly johns) who think they have an opportunity to find their recently lost pro's fuck it up and agree up front to pay hooker rates.  And try to write reviews. And try to network about it.

I don't know about you guys but my market is getting overwhelmed by hookers. The old hookers that have been on SA forever are feeling the competition and reaching out to me. All about reconnecting.  Previously they ignored my requests for a coffee meet.  I insist on a coffee meet to make sure they look like their photos and aren't junkies.

Last night a fairly new SB ( 1 month) agreed to a meet for drinks at an upscale bar. After we agreed on time she sprang the "500 for my time". I told her I don't pay for drinks nor m&g and she replied "it's not for drinks".  I passed.

Next, today a real skittish SB chickened out of the coffee meet. So it goes.

Interesting article talks about LE compiling a facial recognition database on SA:

BTW I am not VIP here any more and cannot read private messages

Yep, and the asshole who wrote the article also posted an article about his exploits of sleeping with SBs for free.  This guy is the type that will ruin it for all of us.

Two more stories that do not fit any of herb's classifications and have me completely baffled.

One "normal" SB,  20 and pretty told me at the M&G sushi dinner that she only had one positive arrangement before and was inundated on SA by "creeps". Over the  next few days she reached out for an exclusive arrangement with me and we agreed on 300 per meet. Come the afternoon of the first real date I get a text "I've thought it over and won't go below 500". Of course I replied "I understand" without any further comment, leaving the door ajar for a future renegotiation.

Next is a coffee m&g with a very pretty and well educated Chinese girl who informs me she wants 1K per meet ! I didn't even bother engaging in discussions. Something has definitely changed. Both the two above insisted on ppm and didn't even mention monthly, which is what all the girls wanted last year.

Today I have a coffee m&g with a hooker type who's been on the site forever. She previously always went silent when I asked to meet her in public before any hanky panky. This time she reached out to me and is willing to drive over to my area with absolutely no expectations. I'll report later.

I've set arrangements with some that have recently appeared in the Bowl.  Slixa is still out there, but I wonder about some of the listings deeper in the website, where they report someone is based here, and I know damn well they moved to NYC a couple of years ago and have chatted with them through switter.
