I'm curious if any of you gents would admit to preying upon "relationship/love seeking" ladies in the personal ads to avoid having to pay for it? If so, were you left with guilt?

Heather, the only word I object to is preying.

I have had great success meeting women through the personal ads. I have dated some for long periods of time without sex because they were fun to be around, and I've often gotten lucky on the first date. AFIK, I haven't hurt or preyed on any of them.

I just ended a 2.5 year relationship with a woman I met on match.com (still friends, just not happenin' any more), so it's back to the ads, with an occasional professional expert!

Of preying would be for a married guy to say he's "single and looking for a long term loving relationship". If you are honest about where you are at in your life and what you are seeking, then it's not preying. I would think working the personal ads for free would get exhausting and expensive. Say, you wine and dine 5 different women that all are going to take their time to get to know you. A first date with each might sum way over a 1 hour booking.

One of the reasons I got into this hobby was to avoid the guilt trip ladies would attempt to lay on me who felt that after I had sex with them once they now owned me and were free to run my life.  Also along with that was the avoidance of the guilt trip from ladies who construed the act of sexual intercourse to be a till death do us part marriage vow.  In short I avoid the free personal ads.

Heather,
When I was new to the hobby (i prefer the term "calling") an experienced colleague introduced me to the concept "invisible semi pro.  He'd find ladies who trolled the want ads looking for sugar daddies. Well...I have an active presence on the Nevada Legal Brothel scene and I was outted by a coworker who found out. I didn't deny it. Well...out of no where, this quiet but plain type lady asked me out.  She made herself up a little, just out of the ordinary. Grabbed my attention. She cooked me a dinner and broached me with being her "benefactor," as she'd once been a provider. I had my own invisible semi pro for several years...and the office mousey coworker was the most sexually proficient woman I ever had. She didn't want a boy friend but she wanted good sex with someone she felt comfortable with, charged me an attractive price that was equiv alent to my dating budget with girl friends. Invisible semi pro.
I was preyed upon...I am innocent I tell you, utterly and completely innocent.
Yeah, right!
