I am relatively new to the hobby but have had a number of dates, generally with good results.  But since I am in my early 50's I have always chosen providers who are 40+.   I guess it is due to my insecurity that providers in their late 20's and 30's would really not be that interested in a man of my age.  I know that all dates are basically "fantasies", but with the older providers I have convinced myself that at least they are not turned off by a 50-something year old man.  I'm thinking about trying a younger provider for my next date, but I am still concerned it might not be a good experience.  I generally like longer dates-perhaps a shorter 2-hour date might be the best bet.   Provider thoughts?  Thanks in advance.

When I was 23 years old, I dated a man who was 49 at the time. Get over the idea that being in your 50's means younger women will no longer find you attractive because it just ain't so. Sure, some women may prefer men closer to their age, but certainly not all. From the time I was in my teens, I've tended to be attracted older men, and my preferences seem to continue adjusting upward as I grow older myself. My sweetie is 54, and he is quite simply, the sexiest man alive. In my (humble) opinion of course.

Furthermore, specifically with regard to this hobby, if you are in your 50's, you are probably on the younger end of the average age of most hobbyists. If a lady is truly not interested in seeing gents in their 50's and up, she's chosen the wrong profession.

So basically, if a younger lady interests you, go see her, and don't worry about whether your age is a turn off or not. If she has great reviews, that is all that matters. There is a stereotype that younger providers are more likely to be non-GFE, be flakes, etc. But, I really do believe it is just a stereotype. This is not the first time a topic like this has come up, and being a numbers geek, I did some research comparing average performance scores of providers listed in their 20's versus provider over age 30. I found that providers over 30 had a higher overall performance average than ladies in their 20's, but the higher average was very slight, not enough to be statistically significant.

So, do your research and see whoever catches your eye. You are only young once

I realize that you'd like to hear from the escorts themselves, but I just can't help but poit out that I'm in my 60's and routinely see ladies in their 20's.  I'm not handsome or anything special - I juust treat each lady with respect and act as a gentleman.  Never been a problem, no lady has ever even asked my age when making the initial appointment, they all keep coming back, and age differential just seems never to have been a problem at all.

believe it or not, all 20-something yr old women aren't attracted to 20-something yr old men. in fact i find the very idea of my engaging in sexual activity with a guy my age (29) to be physically repulsive. i have always been exclusively attracted to men at least 10 yrs my senior, and to be honest my preference is around 15-20 yrs my senior. that is because i greatly enjoy the maturity, wisdom, "settled" nature, self-knowledge and life experience which most older men possess. this also translates to fantastic sex!

Like Lilli, my "sweet spot" is men 10-25 years older than myself (and always has been) for all the reasons she listed.  I don't have "father issues";  I just very much appreciate the life experience, maturity, 'settled' nature of an older man.  I consider ambition/success, confidence, charisma, intellect, culture and chivalry quite stimulating....and these qualities are hard to find in "younger" men (though it does happen from time to time).

there are many reasons we as providers choose to do this, and its not always the almighty dollar.
It does come into play, but it's not for certain the deciding factor as to who to see.
For Some of us age does matter, it matters with me. I see only Gentlemen in which the age group that I would date and I am far from the acception.

Some what off topic. I am starting to shy away from young providers. I tend to look for late twenties and up. The young ones are more in to the money side and think we are lucky to be with them. Not all of them are that way it is just a trend I am sensing. I am older and haven't found it to be a problem. Some of the young ones like the experience factor. We know what we are doing. A lot of younger men are still trying to be porn stars and don't get the big picture. So go for the young ones if you want. I do love the smooth skin of a young woman.

I have always dated (even in my teens) guys that were older than me, and it seems the older I got the older they got! Heh...

I dated a few clients before that were win their 40s and 50s when I was in my very early 20s, and it was simply because we clicked so well! We liked the same movies, music, activities; and they were always past the game-playing stage.

And my work dates with older men were so much fun; they were always so sweet and such gentlemen! They never stayed too long, asked for extra things (like underwear, pictures, etc.), or tried to take advantage of our time together in any way. We always had a perfect time!
