...the last minute with a bogus excuse; she made you wait for two hours and then she didn't answer your email asking for an explanation.

Seriously dude, grow a pair.

Not sure where to begin or how much to share, but I need to vent. I scheduled in advance with a provider (well-reviewed on TER) who will remain nameless. Day of meeting comes and I'm maintaining communication via e-mail. I'm supposed to either e-mail or text as soon as I get to waiting spot. Well, I get there 10 minutes early and check my e-mail and suddenly I've been cancelled on because I didn't communicate as I was making my way there (was never told to, and I had confirmed earlier that morning anyways). After attempting to e-mail and text to see if she was available, I got a response back and was told to wait a few minutes while they got ready and they'd pass along the info. And so I waited....I ended up being in the area for a couple of hrs after finally losing hope. I did send an email later that night looking for some sort of explanation as to what happened (let them know that I was frustrated too) and hoping to maybe schedule something for the future. But never heard back.

It's one thing to cancel if something comes up last minute, but to cancel in this manner and make a client wait and then not offer an explanation? WTF? I'm perplexed, especially because this provider requires deposits for multiple hr appointments (not the case here) which I assume usually means the provider is better at maintaining appointments. Maybe this is a bad assumption on my part.

So I got some questions here:

Providers:
Can any provider explain this to me? I usually try and read a provider's website entirely because some providers are particular about certain things. And I try to maintain communication however the provider wants (via email, text or phone calls). Is there something I missed here? I can only assume I did something wrong here.

Hobbyists:
How would you react in this situation? Would you have responded back with an email later in the night? I'd still like to see this provider in the future. What's the best way to approach this for a future encounter with this provider? Act like it never happened?

As a provider, my only response is to say I have no idea what kind of game she was playing, and I'm sorry!!! We're not all like that, and don't give up.....

xoxo

p.s. look at the good news: the world didn't end today, like it was supposed to :-D

by your story a provider cancelled on you who is this "they"you are referring to?
You said "they"would pass on along the info does she work for an agency?
Sorry you got cancelled on at the last minute sounds like a case of miscommunication but part of your post is unclear. If a provider cancels on you and you have reached out after being stood up and sufficient time has passed for her to respond and she has not move on.Why would you want to see someone who could not respect your time? But,it sounds like more to the story.

But I doubt that's the case here because you confirmed in the morning.

It doesn't sound like she has a good excuse for cancelling on you, especially last minute.
I don't think she's worth pursuing because she has not contacted you back and has not offered another date.

A good provider will try to resolve the problem, be apologetic, and offer another meeting time.

I'm sorry you went through this, it does happen from time to time and we hear stories about it.
Time to just move on.

many times in hookerland lol. Many women do not have a clue about how to run a business. They see you as another envelope and nothing more. If a better paying client comes along, they simply cancel. I notice this more with women who are getting a ton of business. They have that mentality of "Well, I can cancel on a few because I know I will get 3 more tomorrow, and the next day." When you are only depending on 2-3 guys a week, you can bet your ass you won't cancel for stupid shit. You did nothing wrong that I can tell from your post. Only thing I can figure, is she got spooked somehow.

From your post I can't see what you might have done wrong.  Now, in all fairness, we are getting one side of the story and unable to get the other. If you were treated this badly and it prompted you to vent on here, then I ask you, why would you bother to rebook with the same lady?

In dealing with under the radar providers this is common.  these ladies almost have to want to actually date you to see you in any manner.  My advice?  don't take it personally, send her a note which almost does not include the proposed encounter, rather something which highlights that you would like to see her at her convenience.... etc.  Say that you will contact her in the future... and proceed from there. If she is unreceptive - cross her off your list.  To go further would be "stalking."

Be thankful that the encounter did not happen. More than likely there was some sort of drama in her life that day and if you had seen her your time with her may have been consumed by some bullshit  and the experience would have been a complete waste of time and capital. I realize when shit like this happens it is a letdown but fuck it, chalk it up to a learning experience and move down the road. Live to Fuck another Day. You can't control everything only yourself and your own actions. If you acted in the manner you outlined I am positive you will find many providers appreciative of your manners and money. Don't let this incident jade you. Consider it a blessing that her bullshit that day did not lighten your capital reserve. Now go make a date with London or JLS or some other sweet thing and ring in the New Year properly.

Just an Old, ugly fat fuck with an opinion

I communicated with a well reviewed provider confirmed the evening before, was excited to be meeting her...  I was to call in the morning.  That morning, she won't pick up.  No call.  No appology.  Just silence.  The time came when I would have to leave to head to the appointment, I called & left a message that it was now too late to make the connection.
I see her reviews but I'll never waste another opportunity on her.  Not even if it was FREE.  The joke is I got an mass emailing from her recently & I thought about replying.  I didn't.  It was probably blindly sent from a web site connected service.  I used the auto service to remove my email from her data base.
There are enough gals who will see me.  Will meet their appointments.  Over the years, I had appointments fall appart...  one provider had her sister pass away suddenly, forgot to cancel.  Several weeks later, she was still a wreck.   I've had to cancel when driving conditions made travel impossible.  I was stuck on the interstate when I called & we rescheduled within a few days & I still see her when I can.

It may still be too early, but you've left a message.  Give it a week.  That will tell you where you stand.  But as it stands, you were disrespected...  time to move on.

I would react the same way I do if a civilian cancels on me without an explanation .
FIND ANOTHER ONE and get over it !!!
If it's someone I have never seen in person , blind date or provider , there is nothing to get over .

Here's what I do, I'll wait 15 to 30 minutes without any communicaton by the provider. 30 minutes to an hour if she's text, emailed or called me while I'm waiting. At an hour, I'll send either a text or email and tell her I'm leaving.   Then a day or two later I'll email and ask if she's ok. Depending on her reply, if any, I'll figure out whether I want to rebook.

I was like really i emailed a comformation and texted the same,"what". Move on there are others out there and it will happen again. I locked my keys in my car with my phone in there. I got arrested for an old ticket i had. My favorite NCNS though is this one" sorry i didn't show last night my sister went into premature labor and i ran out without my phone and could'nt call". No offer to make it up or discount.

About 2 months ago from a well reviewed highly rated provider. I had made the appointment 3weeks ahead of time and followed her instructions completely including confirming the day before. On the day of the appointment (7:00pm appointment) I got a email message that at 4:16 PM she had viewed my P411 account. I got home from work got ready for the appointment and drove 30 minutes to her incall and got there 15 minutes early, so I thought we'll I'll kill some time and check my email only to find out that at 6:40pm she had sent me an email saying she had to cancel (20 minutes before our appointment). If she had to cancel legitimately she could have done so when she look at my P411 account at 4:16pm. So now I'm all wound up and we all know I'm not going to get verified with someone else last minute. It was so bad I almost called a BP girl and we all know that's not a great option.

I feel your pain, I posted that night too and most folks said similar things as everyone else is saying here. I really want to see this provider when she comes back through town, I mean she's one of the hottest, with great reviews and highly rated on here. But, I'm not sure I want to reward her for standing me up last minute. I understand things happen and I understand from reading some providers responses that some hobbyists cancel last minute or no show, but not me. I've had to cancel 3 times but the shortest notice I gave in those three times was 3 days. I respect their business, and they should respect my time as well. Also the fact that I had no one else to see now, because getting verified last minute is nearly impossible.

It's life. Plenty of guys cancel with minutes to spare and I highly doubt they either add more to the envelop or leave early. And for those who are going to go the "we are the customer" route...try doing that with your dentist or any other business who charges for missed appointments...you pay to see them too.

again I'm not sure I want to reward for disrespecting me. She's super hot (in her photos and according to reviews) but there are so many other good providers that wouldn't treat their clients like that so I may just put her on my personal blacklist.

I contemplated writing a bad review for her, but I don't like messing with someone's livelyhood and also there wouldn't be any juicy details. I walked away with blueballs and perhaps a little wiser.

I understand wanting to see a provider, but things happen, and perhaps the provider got cold feet.  It sucks, but it happens.

I don't think you did anything wrong here at all, mind you, but these things happen.

It was bad form on the provider's part, but why would you want to see her again after she completely disrespected you?

Be straightforward here.  Rather than just venting, what else are you expecting out of the provider?

Can any provider explain this to me? I usually try and read a provider's website entirely because some providers are particular about certain things. And I try to maintain communication however the provider wants (via email, text or phone calls). Is there something I missed here? I can only assume I did something wrong here.

Hobbyists:
How would you react in this situation? Would you have responded back with an email later in the night? I'd still like to see this provider in the future. What's the best way to approach this for a future encounter with this provider? Act like it never happened?

I don't know who you see that charges you for missing an appointment, i never have and if you are than your the fool here. As far as this provider, not some BP girl, is supposedly one of top 50 TER reviewed providers that took about a month of back and forth emails to set up. And this was not a 1 hour wham bam thank you mam date, it was for a few hours worth a pretty penny. So when she didn't call or show i sent her an email asking what happened and a couple days later got the return email telling me the story, and she never offered to reschedule the date, thats what i mean by making it up. As far as discounts goes, when the business(provider) drops the ball as in this case with a NCNS wants to rechedule an appointment with the customer(hobbyist) a discount is offered to entice the customer to come back, so the business (provider) can make a profit and possibly future earnings from this client. Pure and simple it's just business......................................

__X__am/pm.I will consider our appointment cancelled"

This eliminates driving over to the area for naught.

I would never be able to see a provider if we got in an argument over details of a meeting before it happened.it would be awkward.all goodwill towards her would be gone.

I have had to jump through hoops before waiting for a provider to give details and it just aint worth it.

Maybe this is a bad assumption on my part.

just in case.

some hobbyists have limited time to indulge (me included) so the day they pick to schedule a meeting miight be the only day they're available in the foreseeable future.

so what is your remedy when a hobbyist bails last minute on a provider and she loses income? Or do you guys feel that it's part of this business and she should just suck it up? I am not trying to get into a pissing match here, I am curious as to your thoughts as a hobbyist.

I do very well with this business policy...shit happens and I don't ask for anything from my clients who have to cancel, no matter what the time beforehand. I will willingly reschedule and make no issue of it.

I rarely have to cancel but when I have they also get that shit happens and don't expect anything. Also they are more than happy to reschedule with me. You see, there is this unspoken level of respect and understanding between me and the guys I choose to see that this kind of stuff rarely, if ever happens. I have a great track record with this business model if you will. My guys feel that my time and income is as important as their time and effort arranging an appointment.

Sorry SS, the first one was the only cancellation the rest were NCNS. I have no problem with a cancellation on either sides part, it happens. I never asked or expected anything special because we just rescheduled, all parties happy. Mine and WB's problem is in this particular cancellation where the provider cancels 10 minutes before the scheduled date because she could not confirm the appointment. It's just the lame excuse she used that has us upset. I have set up dates a week or two in advance and wouldn't hear a word from the provider in question until she shows up at my door, at the appointed time, ready for our date. Now i would always be ready for these dates just in case they did show up, one never knows and no two providers respond alike. When i open the door do i tell her we have to cancel because i couldn't confirm our date, and then close the door on her? That is my point here, i don't mean to ruffle your feathers here the others where NCNS and some of the excuses i have heard. A NCNS is a whole other topic and thats where i was saying if she wants to try and repair the damage done by not calling or showing up there should be some motivation for us to reschedule with them. I'm sure if a guy NCNS with you, you either won't reschedule with them or charge a rescheduling fee. Two different points, my bad.

No feathers ruffled...;).

Thanks for the clarification...I do see the nc/ns reason to maybe sweeten the deal so to speak. And you are right a nc/ns from  guy would be a deal breaker in rescheduling. I would not bother to ask for a rescheduling fee.

I just feel that if we al treated others as we like to be treated , a lot of the crap would possibly disappear, even the unnecessary bullshit on the boards. Seems simple enough but for some, so hard to do.

Have a great holiday season....I am going to call you lucky2...it might change things for you...;)

Okay not to rub it in too much.  It's happened a million times before and will happen a million times while this civilization goes on.  Move on.  She's hot and well reviewed but so are the other ten million providers out there.

Yes, this is exactly the same feeling I' went through that night. At least I know I'm not the only crazy guy that still wants to see a provider having being stood up.
