Okay. There is all of this confusion on the Alias function...
Here are some facts everyone should know about an Alias.
I know this as fact. I'll explain how.

One day I was looking through reviews of a girl I was interested in seeing..
I saw a review from a username I know to be an alias.
In a few clicks, I was looking at all of his reviews. There were lots of them.
So..
This means you can post reviews as an Alias..

You can also send and receive PM's with an Alias.
I know this because I sent a PM to that
Alias asking him about the girl, and he answered.
So.. To sum it all up..

An Alias is just like a Username. Same exact abilities..
The only difference is the fact that there is no direct link to a review, or a PM.
Now. If you use the search function in My TER.
You may find reviews there, and the username now is blue, and linkable to the PM function.
(I think) You may actually have to click the send a message tab. I don't remember...

Anyway..
I asked the guy why he reviewed that way..
He basically does not want every newbie, or crazy person reading his reviews, or PMing him.
I get it..

So with all that being said. IMO a regular handle with no VIP, and no reviews is less trustworthy than many Alias posters..

I don't ever use the Alias function because it can be a pain in the ass, and no one trusts an Alias.
I do see the very valid reasons for using one though.

If you don't believe what I just posted... Try it.
Many Alias do not post reviews.. But some do.
Since they can create an Alias. They have VIP. So yes. You can PM any Alias.

Great! Now the alias people are gonna be pissed at me :

There’s always a but…..using an alias is NOT always the same as using your TER user name; which, of course, IS also an ‘alias’.

Here is the difference: In this response to you, right now, I am using my TER user name. In fact, I always use my TER user name.  Always have. As far I’m concerned anything I have to say, to anyone here, can be said using ‘hotplants’.

BUT. And another but. What I could be doing in my response to you (which I am not) is using an alias of my alias to slam the fuck out of you. I could be calling you an idiot fucktard for even asking this question. I could talk about the short bus you, obviously, just fell off before your addled brain decided to make this completely moronic post.

If you were a provider I would probably call you fat, ugly, retarded and tell you should get out of the business because you are too stupid to live.

And then….I could sit back and watch the masses erupt into a flaming frenzy while enjoying my TER anonymity.

An alias does not always = an alias. See

I use to get this veggie burger for lunch(easier on the digestive system), as most normal people do I would get an order of fries as well. I guess they were just making me aware. The person taking my order would always tell me, that the fries were fried in animal product. I said no shit, that's what makes em taste good. What I found extremely stupid was they had a double. which featured one meat patty, and one veggie patty. Yet they found the need to inform me, the fries are fried in animal fat.

There are many here who only use an alias to post on the boards.  And those posters (Panthera, crazyshit, BiB, ADJ and many others) are very interesting and board savvy.  What they write is infinitely more important than what handle they use to post their message(s).

I submit that readers who find the alias feature offensive would find the same without the alias.  They are those who tend to have such low self-esteem that they simply allow a post to "rub them the wrong way".

Even on this thread you have hotplants and RobbinYoung complaining of the irritant issue of an alias.  Hey folks...don't fucking click on the post of someone (alias or not) you don't care to read.  To whine (as Robbin does) that you can't ignore an alias is so infantile that it begs the question of why is she even reading adult material.

Discussion boards are notorious for flaming...I don't care what the board is.  To whine about it is simply not a viable option (but can lead to fun trainwrecks).  If someone doesn't want to see flaming posts (like RodT), start your own board and become the Admin and you too can dictate how that board will run.

Until then...if someone wants to post and play on this board, I guess they'll either be a participant, or a whiner.  We need both to keep the boards entertaining  LOL

To me it's not different than hotplants or GaGambler using a handle with no reviews.  Both those posters will construct a thought and put it out there.

I get that some aliases like the stinkyboy just like to flame you, I and Pan.  But since those posters have a specific target and agenda they are of no consequence.  Easy enough to fuck around with them, or ignore their consistently stupid third grade posts.

I'm sure that the littlestinkyboy will post something brazen again...like the other times  LOL    Did the playground at McD's close yet?  If not, I suspect he's still busy  ;)

I wasn't complaining about anything.

I simply stated a fact. There is a difference between a TER user name ( an alias), and an alias of that alias. The difference is in the way each are often used. You are more than familiar with this concept.

And to the rescue, right on time, there is SH responding and actually demonstrating how this dynamic works.

Had I actually used an alias of my TER user name to make my comments SH would not have had any history of not liking HP, or anything/everything HP says----on which to base the characterization of HP  as a being "broken record of uninteresting song".

Now. If it was my MO to usually use an alias of my alias, then that alias would also develop a history that trended in a general direction; nice. Asshole. idiot. whatever. BUT...I would always have the option of slipping into my regular TER user name at any time. So, maybe my alias of my alias is an asshole. And my TER user name is not.

If I do not use an alias of my alias, what I say always follows my TER user name.

Don't click on this post, BTW.

oops. too late.

I get YOU don't like certain posters or their comments.  YOU have an option to NOT click on that post.

Exercise your option and you'll find that you will not be irritated nearly as much as you seem to be over something YOU cannot control.

Or post another threAD and be shocked that many folks will openly flame you for doing so.  This board is supposed to not have ADs.  But that doesn't stop you from consistently posting yours up.

And just like you, others can elect NOT to click on YOUR posts.  I like to see what drivel you have to post.  And I also like to highlight how narcissistic you are.

See...that was pretty easy...wasn't it  ;)

I find your posts and the posts of flamers, about as entertaining as 'Two and a Half Men' without Charlie Sheen.

If you think I'm kidding, look at the threads.  IMHO, most are comprised of a bunch of narcissistic people, who have nothing better to do than reply to one another 24/7 on the boards, when they should be doing so via PM's.

1. I do not always know if the Alias is a Guy or a Girl. Awhile back ago I was flamed by a Alias which is OK but to this day I still do not know what gender they were which makes it hard for me to properly rebuke them. Also I do consider myself to be a Gentleman and do not wish to say anything too objectionable to a Lady unlike you Fellas. Lastly on this and because of the Alias/Gender thing how do we know if one of the girls is not posing as a guy just to fuck with us? For all I know "AnotherDonJohn" for example is in reality a Girl LOL.

 2. Though I do understand the Girls posting with a Alias so they can be more open with their views without possibly losing business because of it I just think the Guys should "Man-Up" and take their lumps a little bit more in the open which leads me to my next problem.

 3. Since we cannot see any of your reviews how do we really know you really even like girls or not as I do not take it for granted that just because you post on the GD board means that you have the same sexual preferences as most of us here. Even if you do and again because you do not show us your reviews to know what kind of dates you seek out for all we know your view of a good time time is trolling in dark alleys for "15 minute BNGS".

I do give consideration to those such as "GA" and some others as they have a long standing here and a lot of "credibility" but for so many of you others not so much. Just saying!

And once again I suspect it was due to your preconceived notion that I was going to bash someone  LOL

The fact is that I don't use an alias...and I irritate many...like you  LOL

Using an alias wouldn't change that...just that you would dislike that particular handle as much as you dislike CPA (remember a couple years ago when CPA was banned and then all those brown envelopes showed up?  Yea, never tried to hide who I was...so it didn't matter if I was marius, enjorlas, InspectorJavert or Jeanvaljean...still was the same guy posting what I always posted).

Many here use only the alias as their posting handle...while others use a combination for their purposes.  Given that the elimination of multiple aliases has clearly NOT made these boards any friendlier, perhaps even less friendly, why do you suppose that is?

I think that many of the posters here who complain about the lack of compassion should try some other boards and see how those work.  Frankly I'd suggest some political boards just for fun  LOL

Then they'll come back to this and realize just how low key this board really is  ;)

It's those that find that difficult cry about how mean some folks are online.

It's so easy to simply not read, or reply if the do read a post they don't like.

TER even put that ignore button on there...and frankly that should only apply to those with maturity levels under the age of 4.  Yea..I know they can't ignore an alias...but seriously how tough is it to move on by?  I guess for those really immature folks...pretty tough  LOL

If your main alias is an AH and inconsequential.

I'm being provocative but that's the truth.
You're not advertising under your providing name so no loss of business.
And your main handle is a man-hating vaginal wash, so it's a wash, as they say.
TER has diligently outlined the uses of an "alias" very succinctly but you haven't seemed to grasp the general uses because yours is an outlier (inconsequential handle therefore able to flame from it).

My main handle is nice, recognizable, and has lots of reviews, hence it gets provider solicitations for business daily.
I exercise the alias to prevent retribution against, even blacklisting of, a reputable handle.
I'm not hiding from my ideas/personality, because I'm here- pm me at my alias. It's not different from the main alias that way.

You made some of these points. You only fail to own the significance.
Which is that your main handle doesn't mean shit to anyone.
In order words, in your case, your main handle hotplants is already effectively an "alias."

Oops- clicked on your post by accident. Before I realized it was really another alias of an alias.

But, my point is: everything you may hate about HP is based on reading what is said by HP. What I am not doing is, gratuitously attacking other posters using an alias of my user name, and then turning around and presenting a completely different perspective using my TER user name. Ironically, if you're arguing that your main alias is better than an alias of an alias because you can be still be blacklisted, then that's inconsequential if your ideas mirror a provider's.

HP is my TER user name. HP is an alias of my REAL name.

I do have the option of creating an alias of HP. That would be an alias of my alias.

And I 'could' also choose  to use that alias of my alias to respond to posts using absolutely no restraint in what I say---I could be as mean, viscous , insulting and obnoxious as I like---without any of those comments being tied to my TER user name (as many here routinely do).

This is not a complicated concept.

You should be rejoicing that I don't use an alias of HP. 'Cause you should really hear some of the shit HP chooses NOT to say....truth is, HP is a helluva a lot 'nicer' than her alias would be....lol..
