The first type are the hunters. For them, half the thrill is in the hunt for the next experience. They see little reason to repeat because nothing will be new. Often, before they have even driven away from the last session, they are already thinking about who might be next.
The second type are the nesters. These are more comfortable with the familiarity of having a regular lady who they see repeatedly. They are sometimes uncomfortable with the natural awkwardness of the first meeting, and all of that goes away when they're repeating.
Finally, there are those that are a bit of both hunter and nester. These hobbyists often have a long-term regular (or two) who they see, but still enjoy the chase for that new and exciting experience with someone they have never met before. I fit into this group, as I think many of my fellow mongers do. I hunt a little, but nothing like what you describe. I like variety, but I am not opposed to repeating. I also don't think about the next one so quickly. I'm always in the moment with who I see. At the same time, like a nester, I am often a little uncomfortable with the awkwardness you describe. Yet, I rarely repeat, and certainly don't want a longterm regular. I have reasons why going too hard on repeat with one lady just isn't for me.
I almost thought I was going to be the third, the blend. But I have no long-term regulars. If I every did settle on a regular, I probably wouldn't hunt at the same time. In fact, most (not all) of my repeats have been consectcutive. So, during my 2-3 repeat run, I am not seeing anyone else.
In the end, the reality is, we don't all fit into your box of three. People are much more complex.

I guess I am both. However if I meet a lady in a city or location that brings it every time.. I am likely to Nest with her in that location. As a 'travel' hobbiest I find that variety is a huge draw.. But if a lady an I have good chemistry and Hot sex I am likely to call on her first. With that said, i've found over time the heat dwindles.. so I move on. then circle back maybe a year or so later.

I would consider myself in your third description. I do find a benefit in repeating as we both get to know what the other likes.
However there is equally much fun in going on the hunt, unless you snatch (pun intended) a pray which has no resemblance to what you are out in wild looking for.
Participating in the hobby for me is like selecting a restaurant. I have a small core-group of restaurants that I visit repeatedly because I like the menu - and the service. I know I will ALWAYS leave satisfied. But occasionally, I will try a new restaurant for variety and a new experience - and on rare occasions that new restaurant will become a part of the core-group.
Great analogy ... I like to know that what I'm expecting, is what I'm going to receive. Which is why repeats exist. Then there is the fact that variety is the spice of life - and as mongers, we must indulge, especially in things that we find irresistible.
So I would call myself a nester. I haven't gone back and counted, but I'm sure I saw my ATF 200 times before she retired. There are 3 or 4 others that have exceeded the 25-session threshold. I only hunt when one of my rotation retires, takes a long break, or wants to introduce me to a friend. When I do hunt, it's always based on strong recommendations from either another monger or a provider.
