It's about references and reputation for me. If those are in place and check out, then he shouldn't have a problem with my donation requests.  If he does, he never should have contacted me to begin with.  As for looks, I just think of it as an added bonus if I enjoy the eye candy!

. . . because he would not show his ID. He understood he needed to show his personal ID so he brought a photocopy of his passport. She asked for an original ID. He drove to the incall so apparently he had his driver's license but he refused to to go get it. She apologized and turned him away.

Imagine - you open the door... and you don't know much about a guy who is standing there!  Driver's license?!   sheese.... that is the least of what they should ask for... what is the deal... most - if not all the gals - are not gonna bother you once the session is over... I have NEVER EVER been bothered by any escort - EVER!  in over 20 years of hobbying.... in fact, I always feel as if I bother them...what with the "will you marry me?"s... and the "I'm hopelessly in love with ya!" "Can I see you agains?"  and so on....

seriously, think about it, she just wants an assurance that you are who you say you are, that you are stable enough to have a driver's license that has an address on it... while not fool proof, it allows her to check out the guy.

I like one provider's - who I have met, approch.  She subscribes to a data base that permits a quick check on the hobbiest - criminal record, residence.. and so on.  Quite frankly she and I had seen each other prior to her using the service... so she had not screened me... I requested that she do so for my edification... she did, and I was surprised at the results... they were impressive.  In fact, I was almost ready to hire her to do some private eye- type investigations for me!  her use of the database was that impressive...

there needs to be lessons and classes for some dudes. - and sometimes I am included in that lot.

I signed up for NetDetective (unrelated to this business) and was underwhelmed with the results I got.

If I saw stinky, horrid, rude men on a regular basis, I could not be in this business or I would need to charge a helluva lot more than I do now.  I wouldn't say that everyone I see is necessarily handsome, but many have in personality what they don't have in physical looks.  Out of all of the clients I have seen there are less than five I would not see again and I have turned away a couple of clients, respectfully of course.

Do you know of any databases that cross-reference various law enforcement jurisdications i.e. from the county jail to the FBI? I do work in Florida and would like a database for checking a person's criminal record.

I personally try to find the best in every person I meet… I also establish a level of confort before meeting a gentleman…so, I usually have a good idea of whether we are compatible before he ever arrives. I have only had one gentleman that I had to request to leave and I arranged an introduction to another provider the same week. (*I can usually find something I like about just about anyone*)  Kisses ~T

I've used several of those online services such as net detective, ussearch, intellus, etc.. and I wasn't overly impressed with any of them to be honest. They are all pretty much deliver the same results, most of the which can be found on your own own through free online resources anyway.

These services advertise that they'll do a criminal background check for example, but only a handful of states allow access to these records, so if your state isn't one of them you don't get results. And most of the states that do allow public access to criminal cases you can do your own search through the court system web sites.

Things like marriage and land/property records can usually be searched on your own through the local Recorders office web site. These services give you a list of post offices, schools, storage facilities, etc.. in the neighborhood of where the person lives - big deal, you can find that on your own through yellowpages.com.

Read Peter Pickle's below (it's hard to type that with a straight face), what he says is what I found to be true.

PP,

That is what I found. In Florida for example, if I wanted to find out if an applicant had a criminal record or to find out what he was in for I had to:

1. Go to the courthouse
2. Write down their name. That can be tricky because there could be various spellings etc. Lots of Smiths etc.
Even getting the correct identity could be a problem.
3. And it was only good for that county.

I believe that providers should use their judgement. If some guy comes in and is acting shady, then by all means I think he should go. As far as looks, looks are not everything and a personality goes far. Standards should be set, money isnt everything.

I personally know 5 men in the phoenix area who have not been so fortunate. Here in the southwest we go by references or go without.
I personally wouldnt give a provider my drivers license or my work phone number on the first vist. Many many ladies know where i work and what my home phone number is but they certainly didnt on the first visit.
If you dont look out for yourself no one else will.
