That was funny. In all seriousness mono is very serious. I was lucky enough that I don't have a sore throat not being able to take down fluids.

The scary part is the the fact the spleen could be ruptured.

Just imagine I could have had a session and passing out after rupturing my spleen. The EMTs would be asking the provider "what was he doing at your place" ? The doctor calls the SO at home and says "He having sex with another woman and his spleen ruptured"....

Can you share resources to find places which offer (true) anonymous STD testing (HIV and all other STDs) as well as anonymous treatment if any results return positive.  I'm particularly interested in places that offer real/actual anonymous testing/treatment and not just a claim of it and then require identification when actually there or only anonymous for HIV testing & only then if results come back negative.

For that matter, remember that there are worse things than HIV...you actually have to tell your doctor that you want a FULL STD check, not just for AIDS...unfortunately most primary doctors don't just do that since insurance companies don't pay for it.

panel of tests.... she found something (NOT an STD and not communicable) but possibly a growth on my liver, just came back from the CT Scan... I've had this condition before (I think) but it never hurts to check it out.

I called a friend to talk to him, as I was a bit nervous, and he told me that he had just been in a car accident.  They did an MRI on him, found a few suspicious spots.... and then did the CT scan to confirm... found a Huge lesion that they suspect is a primary tumor...  we are all now sitting by the phone, waiting....

yea, for you older dudes and gals, get tested, but not just for STDs....

I just got mine also and the doctor found out my blood levels for the liver were way to high. He did further tests and found out that I have Mono. Told me to go home and get some rest. He told me that my spleen could rupture if I did any exercise or sex for 3-4 weeks.

The doctor was surprised that I can function. I guess it is a good thing that I had not a provider in the past 2-3 weeks. I would feel pretty bad knowing that I gave her exposure to mono.
