1. We have more then our share of white knights who want to defend every hooker in the land no matter what they say or do.
Then we have the hobbyists who like to be honest and will use an alias when posting something that may not serve the herd.
Yes, the envelope will win out in most cases, but some of the PC providers would rather go a day without eating then to see a hobbyist whose persona they don't like regardless if you are right or wrong.

2. It took me a matter of months to get the hint, and about a year to really learn my way around. It took me a lot less time to figure out who I would click with.

3. Aliases. One of my favorite subjects. I have hundreds of them and I do make most of them up as I go along. Yes, I made this latest alias just for this reply.
If you are VIP, you will learn that using aliases can be a safe way to communicate on the boards, not to mention fun.

I have two visits under my belt and have perused these boards for a few years off and on.  I've got a few questions that have popped up in my head.  I'm sure it's a bit of naitevete on my end, but who knows.

1 - why are some guys great defenders of the girls here even when it's not warranted (meaning a guy asked a nonthreatening/not stupid legitimate question and gets shitted on by some guy with some pseudo lecture.  Sometimes I also get the feeling some of these guys worry about saying any little thing that could be "misconstrued" by a provider and they will be across the board "black balled" by the mass of providers or will lose out on special extras b/c of something they say.  I guess thats what the alias are for.  But I figure as long as you are respectful/gentleman that above all else money talks.  Be cool, have a good rep, and the envelope wins out.

2- How long (meaning years or months/visits) did it take you experienced guys to figure out the lay of the land where you felt like you knew how the game was played and to quote Mr. Fisher figure out "your vibes" about girls were right and you picked ones you would click with.

3 - Do some guys just stack alias and bust them out when they apply to the question? haha.

1.  I think sometimes people are reading between the lines or the questions are misconstrued.  There's a lot of "white knighting" that goes on as well, consider that some guys do get emotionally attached to girls they see, and if they perceive some kind of threat to that gal, of course he will say something.  It's also easy to respond in a flame on a message board; this format can easily escalate, it's easier to let loose on a message board than in conversation.  Black balling is a possibility but most guys flame under an alias when flaming anyway (which leads to your question #3, yes, why not have many aliases, I do) so I doubt if it will affect your availability to providers.
2.  "lay of the land" just comes with experience, I guess after a 2 -3 years being very actively hobbying,  I stopped looking over my shoulder so much, and I can smell BS from an ad or from a girl pretty easily, and I trust my instincts.  Just like anything else, it's just takes time.  But I can tell you within the last couple of years I've learned a lot more "off the boards" from experience, connections,  and experimentation.  You're bound to get burned a couple of times but that's just how you learn, hopefully TER will keep those experiences to a minimum.
3.  I've already answered question number 3.  Of course they do.

That's different for everybody... For me it involves the foreplay long before hitting the room.... How somebody responds to an inquiry, etc..

I'm sure you've had a GF or two in the past... something just clicked with "the Vibes" that you liked. It should not be too different then that for you to get it. I'm not saying fall in love or anything like that.... but I'm sure you have some kind of sense of who to trust. Apply it..

Long, long ago ... I would make the mistake of putting too much emphasis on looks ... after a couple of times of Ok experiences... it clicked that there is more to it for a really good time.

Maybe I've been really lucky for the past couple of years... but since taking into account the responses I get on an initial inquiry... my experiences have been fantastic to say the least.

As for the other questions... the responses I've seen seem to be spot on so no need to go over it again..

Good questions btw..

1. WhiteKnights are motivated by pussy- that which they've had or that they covet. But they are not hobby mature enough to realize that the providers have as little respect for them as we do.

2.  I realized it within a couple of months participating on the boards.

3. Aliases protect us from the hyper sensitive posters of both kinds and I either create them as I need, like this one, or use another of my roughly hundred of them.

Good questions.
1-I too am perturbed by the white knights floating about. It seems that some have their heads so far up there own asses. It's easy to display such bravado behind a keyboard!
2-I must have been lucky, I have never had a bad experience with any provider...some better than others, but never bad. Of course, I have certain criteria that needs to be met before contacting a provider.
3-I use many aliases as well...mainly for entertainment purposes, and while I never make derogatory or inflammatory statements about any of the providers, I like to some times stir up a shit storm and pluck the feathers off of the wings of the white knights. Some guys take this shit way too seriously!
