Are you referring to MandyGFE & Bailey Michaels? Yes, they are both scams. If you were not notified that your CC would be charged, I would report it to your credit card company.

It takes a few days for charges to show up on your card. The first one will be small then you will start getting $ 50 - $ 60 charges on your card every month with no way to cancel.

Take the advice of everyone else on this thread, call your bank and cancel your card RIGHT AWAY.

There is no shame in being honest with your bank because they too do not want to lose money.

I would cancel the card anyway because you never know what charges might pop up once you let your guard from looking for the charge.I would never recommend using a credit card to get a provider's phone number or any contact info. For what? You are in the right place TER where all the ladies info usually is listed on her profile page you can go from there. If there are ladies that are asking for credit card info I would run the other way and no big surprise that you did not hear back because they have your info now which was the intended purpose not to actually give you the info you were requesting.

Be thankful that your card has not been charged hundreds or thousands of dollars yet.

Both are phishing sites. They are setup to look legitimate but all they want if for you to enter your name, address and cc information.

Once you enter that information, it goes to someone in Asia, Africa or Eastern Europe who sells that info to the highest bidder or uses it for themselves. They create a duplicate card and encode the card with your cc info in the magnetic strip and will go out and use it. Your bank will think it is really you.

If you know about TER you have absolutely no reason to give your cc info to anyone to verify their safety or to any provider until you see them and want to pay with a cc.

Any website or provider that asks for your cc information to verify you is probably fake and don't do it.

The only exceptions are P411, Date-check and RS2000.

You sound naive and will need to grow up fast to participate in this hobby. I suggest you post on the newbie discussion board with any questions. Many there will be willing to show you the ropes.

Came across adds for 2 diff providers.  They both send links to their websites.  Once there, in order to contact them by phone, you have to link over to an age verification website.  This site makes you put in your credit card info, in return for the provider's contact phone # (alarm).
But I gave it a shot anyway.  Hot looking provider w/ legit looking site. But.... never got the phone#; & neither replied to my email.  The answer seems pretty obvious.....scam.  Anyone else go thru this type to hassle?

in this online age of internet scams... Whenever "credit card" comes up on any unknown website, I immediately think "SCAM, FRAUD, IDENTITY THEFT" and never give it out.  Of course, for me personally, long before I would have gotten to that point, I would have checked for reviews of those providers and verified they were legit.

Cash is king, with the exception of hotels, as long as you don't have an s/o.

Free trial membership!
Age verification!
Blah blah!

There are a hundred different ways companies get your cc info and start billing you a month or two later. And not just in the hobby, but in general. I foolishly ordered my credit score from a site that automatically entered me in their credit monitoring program (apparently that was somewhere in their fine print). It took me nearly two years to get the $14.95 monthly billing issue stopped and refunded.

Now I have an internet credit card. A card I specifically use for online purchases with sites I'm unsure of or have never ordered from before. It has a $300 maximum so if I'm going to get burnt, it will be a small burn.

Just say the card left your possesion for some period of time.   They will be more than happy to give you a new card rather than risk a loss.
NEVER give out CC information.

I also have an Internet CC... couldn't set a limit until after I recieved the card with a $25K limit then went back to the branch and had the limit reduced to $300.  Now, after three years, due to my "impecable credit" (the bank's words, not mine), the limit has gradually (every three months) been raised to $12k. Time to go back to the branch and have it reduced again, but what a pain in the ass.  Don't knw what part of "I don't want unsolicited increases in my limit" the bank doesn't understand.
