Are guys like this just stupid? The women this post was applied to never once mentioned her weight in her ad but you can plainly see from her site that sdhe is quite beautiful, full figured, I wouldn't exactly call her a BBW but in every way possible the photos show class and style. And then Mr. Charm comes up with his responce above.

There are some cultures that believe a womans weight is a sign of her fertility, thus upping her status in society. Not too many years ago, belly dancers who had one or two love handles were considered the most sexy. Our culture has conditioned us to think the way the fashion designers (who by the way are mostly gay men, hence the anorexic, 12 year old boy look to most runway models) want us to think. To lump everyone over a 14 as not beautiful cause they are considered heavy is absurd.

While I totally understand beauty is in the eye of the beholder, can we exersice a bit more class and decorum when it comes to ladies who are not your type? I am a size 24, and have been for a very long time. Guess what...I KNOW I'm beautiful. I have great skin..long red hair and my eyes seem to set me apart. I am intelligent, have an ecceltic sense of humor and I could run rings around alot of the ladies in this business just by the way I conducted myself. I know my appeal and sensuality and beautiful is a word I definately use to describe myself. Now alot of guys will jump up here and say hell no, but that is only because I am NOT their type. But just by virtue of not being your particular type, does not make us unattractive.

The human animal is one that has very savage, animalistic tendancies. Over the centuries I am sure evolution has helped us temper some of our bad behavior, but I would like to see more before the end of my lifetime.

Well, i haven't been keeping a real close eye on the boards the last couple days, so i don't know the post your referring to and i may be missing something but i'll still my foot in my mouth anyway and toss in my opinion.

Personally, i think that just as you have to pick a catagory to put a lady in when you fill out a review of her here on TER(it's just an example)men fall into a catagory also, although i don't feel there are nearly as many for men as there are for women. I figure that we(men) fall into 2 basic zones. 1)Those that want to have the physical aspect. 2)Those that want to have to have more then just the physical aspect.

Those men that want just the physical will be more apt to react and make statements as the one you noted in your post. Because all they are looking for is basically only skin deep that is all that matters to them. Wehn it comes to only wanting skin on skin contact i think that the standards a man looks for will be much narrower and much more likely to follow along with the "fashion designers" thinking, as you put it. They are the ones that click on a lady's link, clink on "gallery", take a 1 second look and decide yes or no from that.

Men in the latter group are also looking for the physical aspect of an encounter, but in addition, they are looking for a mental connection, or compatibility with the lady that they will be with for that time, no matter no long or short a time that is. To those men, the mental connection is just as, if not more important then the physical attraction. Or maybe better stated that the mental attraction enhances the physical attraction. They are the ones that actually read ALL the pages of a ladys's site to try and get an impression of who she is under the make up before contacting her.

While your right that beauty is in the eye of the beholder my guess is that the man who said that would fall into the first group and not the second. I myself, fall into the second group, but i've been known to be somewhat strange at times too. Oh well, strange works for me, i stopped worrying what people think along time ago.

P.S. Lass, i must say that i can't argue with any of the words you used to decribe yourself in your post and i can think of some others to add to that list. After having read thru all your site while it was still up and one all to short phone conversation we had just prior to your retirement i feel i can say that you truely are a beautiful lady that possesses the entire package, so to speak.

Yes, Heavey Set can be beautiful without a doubt. Most women that have self respect and the knowledge to take care of themselves have a beauty of some kind though it may not be immediately visable. If they see the beauty in themselves, so will others. It's sorta like Forrest Gump says (sort of) "Women are like a box of chocolates, you never know what ya got until you open them up."

And Lass, I have only met you one time for a short period of time and I say "Yes, YOU are a beautiful woman....both the outer person and the inner sole."

This, simply put, means that a provider must stimulate me between the ears as well as between the legs.

To the guy in your example, the answer is "NO."  You best not take it as a personal attack.  He certainly has a right to his opinion and tastes.  You also have the right to be pissed, but why waste the effort?

Lots of people discriminate against fat people.  By closing their minds, they miss out on part of life.  Like muslim societies that limit women's roles.

Can Heavy-set be beautiful.  SURE! But not to everyone.  

I've also noticed that it is most often women who say, "she is so pretty, she would be beautiful if she just lost weight."  Touche...

Let me quote a TER review of Luscious Laurel, who also does not have a skinny, Barbie  doll figure, but does have about 100 glowing TER reviews, and certainly is my ATF. This is a quote from one review, "Laurel is a large, tall lady. If you are hung up on this for more than 15 minutes after arriving you do have mental problems concerning body types."  External beauty may be in the eye of the beholder, but Laurel has an internal beauty that no one can deny.

If I read this post correctly in the context of the original thread, I am confused.  It would seem that Sedona is being labeled as "heavy set", and there is NO WAY that is the case!  Maybe they classify ladies differently in New York than in So Cal, but the Sedona I have met is a nicely shaped mature provider, and is nowhere near being "heavy set"...not that there is any problem with that, especially if all "heavy set" ladies were as foxy as Celtic Lass!  Good thing she didn't enter the TER Best Eyes contest!

Maybe the grouping was relative to ladies being deep in the "spiritual" aspects of the hobby.  I just wanted to state for the record, though, that there is no way Sedona could be considered "heavy set".
