Do you ladies ask for our work place's number when screening?  If you do, do you actually call it or somehow use it to verify?  Do you ask really perosnal info like what is your social security number?  Sorry to ask the last question, but I just want to be know more to let myself feel comfortable before I jump into this hobby.  How many percent and often do the providers take test themselves?

Yes, I ask for work details when I'm seeing gentlemen in the US.  I won't see guys I can't somehow check out through their work.  I will call and if your PA asks who I am I say I'm with X bank calling to discuss your account.

I don't ask for social security number because I don't see how that would make me safer.

I do ask employment information if the gentleman has no other means of demonstrating to me that he is safe. (There are other options). Not all providers ask for this information, but most ladies who are concerned for their own security do. This information is NOT requested in order to in any way intrude in your life. It is simply a means by which I verify that at the end of our encounter, I'm not being driven away in a car that I can't open from the inside.

To answer your next series of questions, yes I will call the number you provide me. The call takes all of about 5 seconds. I simply state "I need to speak with ______ (insert your real name here)." When I hear "I'm sorry, Mr. _____ is not in right now" I simply say thank you and hang up. The only point of that call was to verify that you are who you said you are, and that the business information you provided is genuine.

I do not ask for information such as your SSN, and I don't imagine very many, if any, providers would ask for that.

Your last question, how many percent and often to providers take tests? I am assuming you mean how often do we get ourselves tested for STD's? Well that varies from provider to provider. I've only been doing this a few months actually, and have had myself tested twice so far. I think about every 60 days seems about right, or anytime I have a reason to be concerned in the intervening time.

Many on this board will tell you that its pointless to ask that question. After all, if a lady doesn't bother testing herself, she's probably not the type to be honest and admit that fact either. But ask anyways if it makes you feel more comfortable.

Finally, being new, you can learn alot from reading messages on the "newbie board". Many of the questions you have now, as well as questions that come up later are already answered there if you search for a particular topic.

In this day and age of identity theft, if one even considered giving their social security number to someone they are crazy.  My suggestion is, if a provider asks for your ss number, move on to the next one.

I have been asked for my work information on several occassions by providers who wanted to screen me. Most of the time they will ask for provider refrences. Since you don't have any refrences expect to provide your work information when seeing a provider for the first time.

Yes, I will ask for other provider references and a work number. However, I am very discreet when calling a place of employment. Usually, I like it when a receptionist answers the phone and transfers me to your extension. I'll usually hang up after that.  However, clients who give a direct line to them doesn't help me. They could be giving me their cell phone for all I know.

All well and good, ladies, but do me just this one favor: please don't say your calling from my BANK. Banks only call when something is wrong, i.e. my account is on hold pending the outcome of the murder trial surrounded by allegations of embezzelment.
I'd almost rather you just say "Hi, I'm Tiffany and I'm just calling to make sure he's not a cop or an axe murderer before I meet him at his hotel and screw his brains out for $300.00."

Most of the ladies I have seen have asked for a work number.  I always provide them with a number that can be verified through public sources (online directories).  Probably around half of them called, and each time I could have taken the call with other people in the room with no concerns.
They simply need to know that you are who you say you are.  It is your job at this stage to provide reasonable information to make them comfortable, so they can make you comfortable. :^P
As to testing, responsible people will act responsibly.  Well reviewed ladies get well reviewed by paying attention to the details.
This isn't a one way street, how often are you tested??

if you want to really build up his rep at work, just say that you're calling from American Idol and that he passed the audition and would he kindly call back to schedule a date to be on the show.

Banks will call you about loan applications, to verify unusual charges on your card... I've even had them call me soliciting mortgage programs.

If you are concerned, feel free to tell the lady whom she should say is calling to get past the receptionist.

If someone asks for your social security number, I wouldn't hand it out. I've had mine stolen before and after years, still have to check my credit to make sure they're not using it to open up additional phone lines, credit cards, etc...

As for your testing question, even before providing, I tested myself often. I'm somewhat of a germophobe, but really, if you're old enough to spread your legs, you're old enough to take care of yourself and be responsible for your health. So I go in frequently to make sure everything's in tip top shape.
