Once they have your money, they have no incentive to see you, and can play games with you in order to avoid keeping their end of the arrangement.  If they have standing on the boards, your exposure of them ripping you off will not be believed by many here, and will likely result in you being blacklisted, and condemned by much of the hobby community.  Best way to avoid - pay as you go.  Never advance any funds to anyone unless you trust the other person 100%...and realize that even then it may backfire.

With a monthly arrangement comes strings, with strings comes drama, drama can lead to resentments. If you want strings get a GF or if that isn't possible get a real SB. The point of the hobby is to avoid the strings.

Two things need to be considered: is it exclusive, or is it open?  If she can still see other people the monthly gift should be lower, and her availability for time should be lower.  If it's exclusive be prepared to support her lifestyle.

Mine are always open. Generally speaking, we agree on X amount of dollars, and that I will spend a minimum of X amount of days (usually a week a month).   The X amount is generous compared to the rate structure that is up on my website for patrons, mistress arrangements get special consideration.

However, the gentlemen have always gone above and beyond what they said they'd do for me - out of their own desire.  They will often gift me necessities of life, things I need and they would like to purchase for me to save me having to spend any money.  They also buy me frivolous gifts for the fun of it.    When things have gone on for several years financial assistant takes on a more personal and significant role - aside from the money, they may put something into my investments, into my mortgage, into my small business to  provide additional stability in the long term.

Ultimately they go a LONG way to making my life financially stable, comfortable... and well, warm. They have always made me feel they take my happiness seriously, that they are concerned for my well being, and that while they are around, they will catch me when I fall.  It's kinder, warmer and far closer to a relationship then it is an issue of mutual convenience.

Thanks for all of the replies. I have no intention of engaging in such an arrangement in the immediate future because I am a pauper! I simply wished to know what kind of experiences providers and hobbyists have had with monthly or retainer agreements.

I have an Elite program I offer to those I know well - especially those I see once or more a month. Discounts for paying in advance are anywhere between 20 and 50% depending on how much he provides in advance. I offer them incalls in area convenient as a bonus. It works like kind of like a line of credit and never expires.

It works well, but then again this is an arrangement between two people who already know and trust each other.

Like with any contract, make sure all the details are clear.

I love arrangements! They benifit both of us because they know what to expect each month, and I know what to expect from my income each month.

I have had many, and in the end, we usually have found a wonderful friendship with one another, and some great times have been had for having been closer as friends!

I usually knock off 20% when I do it, and it is always an open thing. I offer this situation to anyone whom I get along famously with and comes to see me often; it only makes sense. If I can get 5 situations at once I simply fall out of the lineup for a while and focus on them. That way I can be there when they need me and I dont have to worry about setting up and screening and emails and so on; I'm low-volume anyhow.

We do the same thing any couple would do.  We pleasure each other, go out, watch movies, read, go to the theatre, orchestra,  dance to music in his living room- I may cook him dinner when he gets home from work, I may run household errands for him when he's busy in the day, we might go away on a vacation once in a while,  or take the weekend to go somewhere.

I have accepted retainers from clients I've particularly enjoyed. My clients get a discounted rate by paying my fee up front and a certain number of hours we can play every month. It's wonderful, although much of the reason for my limited availability

I don't think it's anything like having a SugarDaddy, though! Maybe it's just my experience, but a sugar daddy involves loads of foreign vacations, Miuccia Prada's designs for your closet and no worries about the hours. I think a retainer lessens the professional aspect significantly and lets you both relax into a fun groove..

#1. Since most guys are regulars, then yes we met through regular channels. Overtime built a bond, relationship and so forth.

#2. Yes. Because of the arrangement, I have to admit I treat them differently. But this might just be because of our long term relationship and level of trust. Meetings have a start time, but I usually don't plan on an end time. I carve out at least 3 - 5 hours (or longer depending on our pattern), and just have a good time. No rushing unless he is in a rush.

#3. I don't usually do a monthly kind of thing. More like a guy give me X amount and we just see each other until that amount runs out. The initial payment is usually made at the beginning of an appt, and when his balance is low, I let him know and at our next appt, he makes another payment. Usually guys give me money when they are a bit flush and have extra cash. This way, no more ATM runs, asking me my rates, worrying about envelopes and such. Plus, with the 20% (or more) discount, they can see me more.

At times, although depending on how far along we are in friendship, things can become more informal. Privileges such visits to one anothers' homes, dinners/lunch/drinks/coffee off the clock, home cooked meals, and outings without serious consideration of the time are things that often occur when there is real chemistry and the trust is there. But, most of the time, we meet at whichever in-call location I am in.

2: Are the dates any different from what you would normally have with a client?

They can be, once again it varies based on the gentleman and our experiences with one another. Referencing back to my answer to question number one, there may be plenty of extra fun to be had off of the clock, so much that it may feel like an actual committed relationship a times. We do develop some kind of friendship when this sort of arrangement is engaged, and I generally do not propose any kind of steady set up without having some idea that we have enough in common that we can spend time together clothed, so it usually is different on at least some level; even if only in conversation.

3: How do you handle the issue of payment each month?

Generally, a bank account is set up for them to deposit the months payment into. Usually they set up a sort of bill-pay situation, so neither of us have to worry about it getting done.

My experiences with monthly arrangements for play for pay have been very favorable. In recent years pro providers have been successfully raising their fees at rates far exceeding inflation, thereby pricing many of us affluent (but not wealthy) hobbyists, out of this hobby. On the other hand, the recession has induced many semi-pro providers (i.e., sugar babies, mistresses, part-timers, etc.) to seek monthly arrangements.  This has resulted in a very favorable imbalance in supply and demand.  For example,   on one popular website for arrangements, in Maryland there are currently 2358 sugar babies seeking arrangements and 311 sugar daddies seeking arrangements.  I like those odds!  As a result, I have been able to get female companionship from the semi-pros at rates much less than those offered by the pros.  In addition, the companionship from the semi-pros has been much better than the companionship offered by the pros.    

Although monthly arrangements have worked well for me, they are not suitable for all hobbyists.  A hobbyist has to spend more time with a semi-pro.  Whereas pros diligently watch the clock to ensure that a customer does not exceed his allotted time and discourage any socializing with customers, semi-pros expect the hobbyist to socialize with them before and after the main event.  Also, monthly arrangements do not provide the variety that many hobbyists seek.

I actually really liked a provider, both sexually and personally, and got into a three month arrangement with her. This led to some disagreements about time spent together, and I did not receive the sexual services I contracted. It led to some emotional closeness, but got confusing, as at times she related to me as a boyfriend, i.e., like saying sex cannot happen all the time, and led me to questions if I was being used. She was able to make appointments with other clients, and even tell me about this, while not having sex with me. Frustrating. Any opinioin on this, because it calls into question the purpose of an arrangement.
