Going 3 to 4 years out could be.

A lot depends upon whether the provider in question has changed her appearance.  If so, then new photos are definitely in order.

Even non edited selfies seldom look like the person does face to face.

That's anywhere.

But its easier to have a twitter account with a link. If I saw you a year or two ago and you still have the same images up, I am not confident you still look that way now. Twitter accounts are nice to post quality selfies along the way to show off different looks and hairstyles. It doesnt have to be a big production. As a small business owner, I like to keep my website fresh. I think once a year on the website images should be added or the look updated and once a week, or once a month on a twitter feed would be helpful. I love the non professional shots women post on social media looking cute.

We live in a Tinder society now where people flip thru content on their phones all day long. No one really reads anything seriously unless they are choosing you and want to check you out. Fresh content is what gets anyones attention, in civvy life or in any business. Even if you ran a coffee shop or a hair salon, stale and outdated is never good when it comes to social media and web presences.

Proper photo shoots can be sortof expensive, so I get why most providers aren't splurging on them. That said, I also think that it isn't so expensive that you can't. Realistically you're making $$$ an hour, you can afford to pay for photos.

The obvious stopgap here is to just have a selfie feed. I think it's reasonable to have a pro shoot every 6-9 months with a new selfie posted every week or so.
This shows me two very important things. 1, you're still active and I'm less likely to shoot an email/text/voicemail off into nowhere land without a reply, and 2, that you're taking care of yourself on a regular basis and you're not only "put together" for one photoshoot a year.

A year ago I had more of a spare tire and less muscle tone. I got back to my regular routines and toned up substantially. A lot can happen to a human body in a year.  Granted a 29 year old gymnast might not change as much in a year as an old fart. But she might.

But I know of some that are at least 5 to 10 years old. And the funny thing is they are even the same age as they were when the photos were taken.

Many hobbyists that are UTR as far as their RL ID and value their anonymity do not want to have any digital trail on Twitter or Facebook to provider sites, so its not going to do any good for many of us unless the photos are updated on their website or current advertising.

I second that.

If you still look exactly like your photo, which does happen for some who don't age or change appearances, it's not an issue.

It is always helpful to keep your photos up to date and date them... I've seen girls change their hair color/styles that I would not be interested in seeing if they had this hair do, but another picture caught my fancy. You typically see this on the websites where there are older photos mixed with newer ones. Helpful to know which you are at this moment so I can make my decision based off that.

I didn't book with a lady once because she looked amazing as a brunette with shoulder length hair BUT I was not turned on at all with her current long blond hair.

a year to be a big deal, but some recent selfies will also alleviate any concerns about the age of the glamour shots.  Although its easy to put on 20 pounds in 90 days if you're on the Krispy Kreme diet, I think most providers take pretty good care of themselves because looks is one of the more important aspects of their business.

Your first line is no joke. This morning I was looking at archived escort ads from 2005, and of the ladies who are still working, half are using the same pics today. Are you kidding me? Is that laziness an indication of what a session will be like with them? Quite possibly. So to answer your question, yes, it's an issue. Especially for the long time gentlemen.

And since you mentioned good reviews, I've recently been stiffed by three different new ladies with great reviews. In the archived days a great review was the greatest indicator of a wonderful time, and that the lady would actually show up. Not anymore. Reviews are no guarantee. Photos are no guarantee. $$$$$ is no guarantee. What's the new indicator? So far, I haven't found one. Thank the Escort Gods for old friends.

I have said that I don't care how old a Provider CLAIMS to be as long as I can believe it when I see her.
.
Likewise with pics: The time stamp isn't as important as that they be an accurate representation.  But that includes TIMELY content, not just general appearance. If she was a long tressed brunette a couple of years ago in the pics and has recently changed to a blonde pixie hairdo, I want to know about it, otherwise I suffer the usual case of "unfulfilled expectations" no matter how cute she is.
.
In both cases, age-claims and picture-claims, I depend on comments from recent reviewers for validation or a warning.

I see some providers that haven't updated their photos since before I was born, almost. LOL kidding.

Is that an issue for you?
Are selfies and updated photos an incentive to see a new provider or you do not care at all?
 Good reviews vs Photos?

 Just curious...

That's 4 krispy kreme glazed doughnuts a day, likely for dessert to avoid impact on your normal caloric intake.

The math for this is that you need 3500 extra calories to gain a pound of fat on average. So 70,000 *extra* calories to gain 20 pounds. Kryspy Kreme's are about 190 calories each, So you'd need to eat 368ish over that 90 days to gain the weight, which is only like 4ish a day, which feels about right.

These numbers fall apart if you eat less of the regular stuff you'd normally eat while you're on your doughnut binge, so you have to account for that. It's probably more like 5 doughnuts a day.

... updated photos are the next best thing from a marketing and branding standpoint. I really don't know why a large number of providers don't update their photos more often, like at least every 6 months to a year.

Selfies may be okay for forum based sites similar to this one or even regional sites that have an ad section. But if a provider has a professional presence with either her own personal website in which she owns the domain name or uses the high end ad sites like EROS, etc., then she should only use professional photos there, IMHO.

I guess it would only be an issue if her photos don't represent how she actually looks.

Too bad we're not in the same regional area as I would've loved to do a photoshoot with you.

I rotate among a select few ladies and mix in a new provider maybe two or three times a year.

...as the progression of time that makes a difference for me. As long as the photos are 90%+ accurate, then we're good. If the photos are substantially inaccurate, then we aren't going to have a good time.

Another reason for recent photos, recent reviews corroborating the photos and perhaps a meet & greet to make sure we're both on the same page.

MIA - I agree with you and your original post. I have also seen some pictures recently while shopping that are over 10 years old, and definitely misleading. One of my first  hobby sessions was ruined by an escort that had 10 year old pictures. She had gained twice the weight of her ad and picture. Had given birth multiple times, once recently and still had left over prego flab and serious stretch marks and wrinkles. I would not have minded so much if I had knew that before hand. But then again would not have booked. But once I was in the door, I felt trapped and betrayed. I went through with appt, but should have run away screaming, as it still haunts me. Then there was the time that I booked the only escort available in Montana at the time. I knew she was older, but not that old. She looked 50 in her pics. But when I opened the door to my hotel room, she was like 70 and like the crypt keepers wife. Tanned wrinkled from head to toe with those granny milk bottle tits like in the playboy cartoon.  Truth in advertising please, is all we ask.....
