When I was a massage provider, I barely paid attention to my TER reviews and was not very aware of their impact on my success. Still, I felt I got pretty good reviews at the time and I had steady clientele and was not too concerned about it. When I came back and began offering GFE, I did more research and realized quickly the impact reviews and ratings may have on one's interest in meeting me. I swore I would not get caught up in the numbers of it all... but, there is so much underlying emphasis! It has me wondering...  

and as a result have never even had a review. I was out of the country for a bit though so I think that plays a major role.  

Searches will not be favorable for you for the most part as you are ranked 37th in your area. If more clientele is your goal, it doesn't seem to me you are maximizing your advertising here on TER which may mean you do not have a sound advertising/marketing plan in general.

Oh thanks - to clarify, I am actually not having trouble business-wise. I am ranked 37th though and it is definitely an artifact of my previous massage reviews. I am well aware that as things go on the numbers will rise - I was really only curious as to how people employ the reviews/ratings when looking for new ladies to see. I'm not worried, more curious.  

me and my wife pay more attention to what people say than we do the ratings, our main things are ...are the pictures really her, is she nice, does she deliver what she advertises and weather or not she has bad reviews such as grab and runs no shows,bait and switch etc, numbers actually mean nothing to us.....because one persons 8= really hot might be someone elses 6 or 7, we think the whole rating system should be reworked.

screen out "outlier" reviews with ease, and know to weight more recent reviews higher than older ones. If we can't explain a pattern, we'll likely ask previous reviewers or even ask you directly.  

Prior to becoming a companion, and not just a masseuse, I really didn't care about the reviews. Most reviewers seemed to see FS girls primarily so they weren't my target market. Business was good to great most months, and I did massages only for about 3+ years. In all of that time I believe I garnered just 10 reviews. My current performance average is about a 7.

I most closely relate to MZ's sentiment above.  I can tell you as somewhat of a newbie, I have read hundreds of reviews in the past 30-40 days.  Here are some random thoughts that come to mind when I'm researching via reviews:

You can always ask a gent who you have a great connection with and who you would feel comfortable putting yourself out there by asking! I had a similar experience in that I was very busy with massage but just very few people cared to submit reviews. Ah well, I see a lot of great insight on this thread so I hope it helps you too! PS I love Atlanta, used to live there - always glad to meet another ATLien!

and also it is very important to look at the reviewer's history to see if he is a very strict or lenient reviewer.

I'm much more interested in reading about how the session went and if there were problems, what the cause of the problem was.  Often the reviewer unknowingly reveals himself to be the problem because he had some agenda that was not in line with the provider and which I would not be interested in.

I often see massage gals who by TER rules can not get more than a 7, but their overall performance in terms of my enjoyment often makes them a 9 or even a 10 in my estimation.

Base on the fact that, individual experience differ. Never read the detail either. Mainly look at reviews to decide whether someone is legit or not and that’s about it.
That being said, many are stuck on the numbers game!

They let me know if the lady is who she says she is, if she is honest, if drama seems to follow her, if she allows activities that make me happy, if she shows up on time, if she shows up at all, her professionalism, and many other things. This is the one single place that let's me decide quickly, whether to move on or send an intro.  

...about gfe so guys looking to see you for gfe shouldn't have any problem figuring out that you've made a change. I hope you're making it known through your marketing that you've changed your offerings. You might consider contacting TER to have your profile updated to reflect your change in service provided. It might be best to do this after you get your first gfe review.

not too important to me either, at least as far as the dirty details go. I rely heavily on her personal website, which is where I hope to gather the most info about her-photos, clientele info, latest prices, etc.

With more reviews, I can almost assure you that you appearance score will go up.
Wow, just wow...

None of us is likely to get all the information we want about a potential partner before hooking up. And I think most adults recognize this. But you try to get as much as you reasonably can.  And yes the scores may be one (albeit small) piece of the  total information you find helpful.  

I have asked, although it's pretty seldom that I do honestly because I don't usually think about it. I think most of the men that I meet aren't TER regulars, and my scores prevent TER reviewers from contacting me, so I'm in a bit of a pickle as far as gaining reviews goes lol.

It used to just say massage, now it says escort/massage. It still says no to bj, which was accurate before,though it's inaccurate now. I figure I'll ask them to change that after I get a review that confirms it.

Thanks I do realize that my prices are a tad high, but...

They work great for me and although I suppose there are lots of gentleman that I won't get the opportunity to meet, luckily there are plenty that I have the pleasure of meeting and enjoying.
I do think my rates also explain my lack of reviews, most TER reviewers expect a certain score and number of reviews before they're willing to shell out 400/hr, and I totally get that. I think I'd want quite a bit of reassurance as well if I was paying that much for something.

...as the massage reviews really do pull down the average.  And getting the profile fixed re BJ vs CBJ should help too.
Sounds like you are doing all the right things to increase your visibility.
But you also might want to add eye exams as a service too, because some of your gentlemen friends clearly are having problems with their vision!  

"Thanks so much for seeing me, and if you had a good time, I do appreciate reviews on TER!"  And flash a beautiful smile.  
But if you want to increase your average performace rating, you might only want the GFE reviews at this point, and not more massage reviews, so take this account too when deciding who to mention reviews to

They are drama magnets tainted beyond the point of meaning anything. I read the review it's self. I still take even the text with a grain of salt, unless I know the reviewer is a straight shooter.

Man, I can't believe that you have to look for confirmation that someone will actually show up at all! Sad city. I mean, I know that happens - I just can't believe it! I am glad we have reviews for those very basic reasons you described and I am glad at least some see it as a social science worthy of careful study

I am fairly sure I was one of the type of massage girls you describe - which is why I bounced easily to higher performance ratings. I mean, fun was had.

This was all very helpful for me and I am sure many others! I hear you, and I appreciate you sharing your thoughts. I have not wanted to worry too much about it and I'm glad I haven't. I will however be working on an actual website as a result of this thread - I have not done so yet because I'm getting by fine without it but dang if that wouldn't attract all the thoughtful gents and help us match to each other even more perfectly.  

People can make numbers mean anything. It is my opinion that it is naive to interpret numbers alone without context. I thought there was a lot more blind number-reading going on around here but I am so glad to see that's not really the case. Yeah for nuance and curiosity!
