...being in the 5th grade and hearing the principal make the announcement over the P.A. system that the President had been shot and me crying, with my head down on the desk. Seems I heard nothing in the mainstream media yesterday commemorating the day and what happened in Dallas in '63 -- no coverage in the papers, and no mention of it on the news broadcasts last night.

And wasn't the gent something of a hobbyist himself?

Oh yeah, he did run the country for a while.

Guess they were more careful about it back then.

But then again, the ladies that they saw didn't see a chance to get on Oprah's counterpart 40 years ago and spill the beans to make a quick buck and get a show or some shit of their own.

Sorry ladies. I'm the last mother-fucker to be talking shit about being discreet.

But then again, I don't get paid. I do the paying. ;)

The biggest casualty was Marilyn Monroe herself.  The game has changed since then, starting with Bill Clinton in '98.  Before that, Presidents could play and the press turned a blind eye.  Not any more.  Oh, well, if they want to fuck around they should be subject to the same rules we're forced to live by.  That's why I was so glad to see that slimy hypocrite Spitzer go down.  He went after girls and johns but whored around himself.  Nothing worse...Well, except child abuse, genocide, etc.  And now the fucker's got a TV show!  What a country!

It's relevency is without question, though.

Guess it might've been more condusive if I would've put in Ol' Blue Eyes, which, we ALL know they hung out together, and a personal favorite of mine! ;)

Me neither. They always made a big deal out of it until lately so I never even thought about it.

Yes, he was a hobbyist, not "something of", but a real hobbyist. Had to have sex every day or he got a headache and used government employees to arrange his dates. He did this even BEFORE he was president.

..... Taking the last sentence off so the moderator won't decide it's on the wrong board.
