Maybe it's just me but how a provider answers her phone and her comportment in those first few seconds make a huge difference to me. Hearing a nice friendly voice answer always puts me at ease.  Hearing what sounds like someone half asleep sputtering out "yes" or "yup" or sounding like the call is a total bother to them is a quick turnoff. Sometimes I couldn't be bothered to hear anything else.  

I put more stock in professional and timely emails, followed by text leading up to the appointment..

Too many idiots call at 3 am expecting us to not be asleep. I give my number and website access after I know a guy is legit, and he is free to call at a time when I am actually awake and alone.  

That might be a shot in the dark...who knows  LOL

But for those with only numbers to call try or want a follow up call, at least try to sound nice when you answer

I text, e-mail, "PM"

but every once in awhile, I will see someone who only has a phone # listed.  I call during business hours 9 to 5, so I'm usually not waking anyone up. Most have answered the phone in a professional manor.  However, Im not a big fan of leaving voice messages

For example, I may or may not be with people. With them, I can't be obvious, and If I have to ignore the call, then I have to worry about you being with people, and generally won't call back, just send an email. If I'm not with people and can take the call, then I have no idea if its you or your angry wife calling, so I tend to answer with a very professional "This is Charlotte". If it is a SO, I can then just say that I'm head of the housekeeping department or some ridiculous thing like that. If its not, then I just sound silly. I imagine something similar goes through most girls heads? It's hard to ooze sex kitten over the phone, lol

I did in the beginning and I used to get calls at random times which was extremely annoying - do people not pay attention?

I've hired a provider, well, had one of my hobbyists hire her hehehe... I tipped her tho, hehehe. Felt like hot shit too

Isn't a bit difficult to text "oh yeah, baby" while you're doing it? What's more, would she take time to read your text?

I flat out tell them I will call THEM when they tell me to. There is no reason someone I have never met needs to call me out of the blue for anything. If they ask when might be a good time to call, I say "I will call you, let me know." I use google voice though, so either way, it really would not affect my life but I certainly don't appreciate any dumbass who thinks a call at 1 am is ok.

Oh hell. He is "free to call" meaning I guess I would know and give him the ok? I don't list a number so it's a moot issue. When I do give OUT my number, I flat out tell guys not to call but to text, and we can arrange to have a conversation

I would typically text before a call as well.

I know first hand of what happens when a provider doesn't answer her phone in a friendly manner. One client said I sounded "like an angry Black woman". Since then, I've been answering my phone in a friendly manner. This incident took place in 2012. I learned my lesson and won't make the same mistake again.
