The other night I was stuck in an airport bar waiting for a delayed flight.  There was a guy in there hitting on women.  He was talking openly about his wife and new baby.

I thought this would turn off the women.  Quite the opposite.  I asked a female traveling companion.  She said it made him hotter because the woman didn't have to worry about commitment, just having a good time.  

He was on my fligt a few rows in front of me.  Sure enough, he took off for a hotel arm in arm with the hottest babe on the flight.

Yes, it does.  Another reason NOT to remove your wedding ring.  Its worth its weight in gold!  If your single, go get yourself one.  Maybe some wallet sized kid pics too.

I also find being a hobbyist has helped in picking up the non-providers.  Notice I didn't say free.  Woman are never that, in any walk of life.  Anyway, if I do strike-out at a club, hotel bar, etc - I know a woman is a phone call away and I don't have to go through the mating ritual/dance again in socializing.  Its a confidence booster.  I haven't had that butterflies-in-the-stomach, knock-kneed feeling when asking a girl out (or to my room) in decades.  Its more like, "Next!".

'perceived value' - No women wants what another woman would not have.

But then the woman gets the guy, then he is no longer what another woman wants.



Men are the same way. They chase and pursue then catch the gal. Then suddenly she isn't as desirable.

So I ended up with 2 bumper stickers on my car:

If a guy started hitting on me while talking about his wife and new baby I'd think he was a total asshole. Using having a wife and baby like that is not acceptable, IMO.

If he wants no-strings sex that's up to him but he wouldn't be having it with me.

Often times the woman gets a "rush" of artificial self-worth if she can get "chosen" over the ball & chain... The guy isn't thinking an inch ahead of his dick at the moment, but the sexual experence is a complex issue in the mind af a shallow woman, the layer are complex and difficult to unfold, but girls are like cats, and men are like dogs is the simplest way to look at it IMHO...

Not something I would brag about, but in his case I guess it worked..

20 years ago was a tall, good looking blonde lawyer - happily married for 3 years, working for a prestigious firm in CT for 2. I spent a weekend with him while his wife was away with her sister. We went to a downtown bar frequented by young professionals. A very slinky brunette stood next to him to order a drink and started a conversation with him; being an experienced wingman, I kept out of it. Although he enjoyed the attention, he was a fairly shy guy and had no intention or desire to cheat on his wife, so as they were talking he kept his hand with the big gold ring highly visible.

She insinuated herself closer as they were talking, and without breaking stride took his hand in hers and brought it to her face. She took his ring finger into her mouth, slid the ring off with her teeth, and tongued it into his hand. Then she closed his fingers around the ring, kissed him on the cheek, whispered "call me" into his ear, slipped her card into his pocket, and walked away.

I took the number away from him. He's still married. I remind him every time I see him.

One thing I've always wondered since spending that fabulous weekend away with his wife - did YOU ever end up calling the women we'd arranged to keep him distracted while we were otherwise occupied?
