Wow! Thank you for your kind words. There are many more stories like this I could share but this was supposed to be about those 100 providers.
I want to thank everyone for all the kind messages and emails. I don’t think I have ever gotten this much email in my life, well except for the time someone shut off the spam filter. There is no way I can answer them all (I need to get some work done too). I thought I would address the most common questions and issues I have seen here.
You may not have noticed but I have never really posted about myself in the 8 years TER has been around. I don't like talking about myself so this will be my first and the last post on the subject. I hope I can address the most common questions.
1. No, I am not the anti-Christ.
In Fact, If you google David Elms you get a priest. (not me)
2. No, I am not rich, monetarily. I live in a 55 year old, three bedroom, one bathroom, 1100 square foot house. I have two nice cars however one is a 2004 and the other a 2001. Between all the women in my life I am always broke. (Wife, daughter, mom, ex-wife, etc)
3. I consider myself rich in a more important way:
- I have a healthy 11 year old daughter
- And a beautiful wife who on occasion,
will give a pretty good bbbjcim.
4. No, I am not into small or large farm animals.
5. Yes, I was a programmer and I did write the BLUE version of TER. (remember?) We now have a programmer on staff that does a much better job than I do. (he’s only 24 too! The little shit!)
6. Yes, I was a total nerd in high school. My badge of honor was being president of the science club.
7. I am 36. I am half Asian and half Caucasian. I speak fluent engRish.
8. Unfortunately, it is only 4 inches. Most providers don’t like them that wide.
9. Lastly, No, 99% of the things you hear about me are either exaggerations or complete fabrications. Don’t get me wrong, I like to have fun and I am no angel but, as a general rule, I always try to do the right thing.
May I take just a moment of your time? For a minute would you relax, open up your mind, and ponder this thought. Is everything written on the internet true? So, if I take this pill my penis will double in size and be considered a deadly weapon in 43 states? I read it on the internet! If I rub this cream on my head will all my hair come back? I read it on the internet! What if mix this up? Would I have a really hairy penis and become even more of a dick head?
All kidding aside, let me give you an example a little closer to home. What if someone posted you have HIV on the internet? Does that make it true? Stop and think about what I am saying. Someone who you pissed off posted that you have HIV on the internet. Does that make it “true”? What if they post it 100 times? Does that make it more “true”? A 1000 times? What if you were a public figure and this person starts this campaign against you? They start to make people all over the country believe you have HIV. Those people start telling more people. Does that make it more “true”? Just think about other things that you have been led to believe. No facts. Just something that someone heard from somebody. Must be true, right?
My goal is not to change your mind directly but instead educate you to not just believe what is written on the internet. Remember, information is never just "passed along". Even if unintentional, it is human nature to taint information by absence or exaggeration to support one’s beliefs or aid in one’s agenda. The changes I desired to make in your mind will be just a natural result of this.
What a concept. Don’t just believe it because it is on the internet. Isn’t that what TER is all about. Think about this. If every provider ad on the internet was true, there would be no need for TER. A provider could post that she has a PhD and how she is the ultimate in female companionship. Shouldn’t you believe her because it was posted on her website? How come so many of you do?
We as a community have banded together to first find, then share the truth. As TER members we don’t believe what is written on the internet in provider ads. Why do so many of us believe everything else?
I always have tried to be as fair as I can. If you really have a problem with something you believe I have done, I am in Los Angeles. If you are willing to spend the time and money to come to LA, I will make the time to sit down over lunch and talk to you. If you are local send me an email and we can talk. I stand behind everything I do. If I am wrong, I will make it good. If I am right, you get to pay for lunch
