This was sent to me today and I wanted to share this with all of you.

Why Women Cry..........

A little boy asked his mother, "Why are you crying?"
"Because I'm a woman," she told him.
"I don't understand," he said.
His Mom just hugged him and said, "And you never will."

Later the little boy asked his father, "Why does mother seem to cry for no reason?"
"All women cry for no reason," was all his dad could say.

The little boy grew up and became a man, still wondering why women cry.

Finally he put in a call to God. When God got on the phone, he asked, "God, why do women cry so easily?"

God said: "When I made the woman, she had to be special. I made her shoulders strong enough to carry the weight of the world, yet gentle enough to give comfort. I gave her an inner strength to endure childbirth and the rejection that many times comes from her children. I gave her a hardness that allows her to keep going when everyone else gives up, and take care of her family through sickness and fatigue without complaining. I gave her the sensitivity to love her children under any and all circumstances, even when her child has hurt her very badly. I gave her strength to carry her husband through his faults and fashioned her from his rib to protect his heart.

I gave her wisdom to know that a good husband never hurts his wife, but sometimes tests her strengths and her resolve to stand beside him unfalteringly. And finally, I gave her a tear to shed. This is hers exclusively to use whenever it is needed."

"You see my son," said God, "the beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair.

The beauty of a woman must be seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart - the place where love resides."

To brighten the days of the many females who read this board and to remind the men of our humanity. :))

I'm not insensitive...I just think there's no reason to post such a message on this board other than to waste everyone's time in reading it and then finding out that they just wasted their time...  It's informational value is zero.  I could see if the story discussed the reasons why women cry, but it didn't...all it did was state that women cry more than men, which we probably all know.

As a rule, I avoid expecting someone with a handle like "clamlick" to be in close touch with their feminine side.

...how too many of us were raised to be half people:If a woman asserts herself she's likely to be called a b&*ch,and if a guy shows some sensitivity or even(horrors!) sheds an occasional tear,he's called a sissy.I'll remember to my dying day the ONLY time I saw my father cry: The day we buried my mother, after the funeral and funeral lunch was all over,my three sisters and I went back to his house with him.It was there that, for the first time in his life that I know of,he broke down sobbing; saying he had just lost THE ONLY PERSON WHO HAD EVER LOVED HIM!!!.His 4 kids(myself included) were standing right there: believe me,we all loved him! The point is HE COULDN'T FEEL our love because of the insensitive, even brutal, way he was raised! HE went to his grave a sad, lonely man. The sad thing is our culture breeds all too many like him! I thank God that I CAN cry, and I DO tell and show people what I'm truly feeling.Sorry, but I feel some postings like this are OK as we're dealing with a very human activity, and need to remember to value each other as COMPLETE humans, male AND female!

Your somewhat provocative statement made me read more than the original post and wasn't as interesting so I have to question who is wasting who's time.  I must confess that sometimes I enjoy deliberately taking outrageously controversial positions on the abcnews.com 20/20 board around anything John Stossel reports on (those "Give me a break" things) just to mess with people.  Its one of my guilty little pleasures (besides the fun I have with providers of course).  I hope you're not messing with us! :-)

So, use some restraint and don't read the damn thing.  Who are you, the discussion board censor?  Leave it alone.
