Ya know…a retired sex worker is a ‘civie’. And civie women are not getting paid to create the illusion that everything is all about you all the time….day in, day out….

Bummer of a catch22, I guess.

Are there any providers that would like to get out of the business and get married?

I think Im ready for marriage but I think it would have to be a ex-provider, because I'm now spoiled and civie women might not be up to my "new" standards.

your bank account/retirement will run dry before you ever get over being spoiled.

I hate to add this joke, but...  don't think too much---someone once "thought" he was going to just rip a fart, but he shit in his pants instead.

Seriously though;  most providers are, in fact, wonderful ladies and could be a great match for some of us.

As with any other "later in life" marriages, the mature hobbyist and former provider both should see lawyers and get a pre-nup.

Some of the best I've seen can be really narcissist. A lot are really nice until they realize the money is slowing down. Then the true colors can appear. Happens in the civvie world as well. If you've built your whole world on your looks it's bound to happen. Especially in our looks driven world.

Not everyone is the same, so just because some providers you've met are narcissistic, doesn't mean all are. I'm sure there are some out there that are looking for love. As long as the guy can support her at least and they aren't poverty- stricken. Plus, depending on her age/maturity level, I think many providers are pretty smart and realistic...

Rather, it would be because we could be open about our experiences in this world. I'd also require an open relationship, and I'd expect her to be more understanding about that then the typical gal.

You do realize that a provider is a woman who is not "on" all the time. This is where some guys get the wrong idea. A hooker is on for the duration she is being paid. IRL with a SO, that is not the case. Even for an ex hooker who is now a civvie with civvie likes and dislikes and does not have to perform like a circus monkey in the bedroom

"Hooking is something we do, not who we are."

Stealing is just something I do, not who I am. Murder is just something I do, not who I am. I once had a great provider who I saw regularly and she always kept reminding me that she was a 'whore' and proud of it. I always thought that was great until she told me she saw a therapist every week. And, I don't think it was for drinking too much coffee.

If you are not a hooker, you might want to think about what you are doing.

I was married nearly 8 years and have been divorced for almost 2 years. I've had a lot of time to reflect on what I want in a husband and time to improve myself to be able to be a better wife in the future. I ran into some setbacks and was hoping to retire next year, but it's looking more like two years now.(Australia is out , for those of you that read my posts) After that, I'll start marriage-minded dating. I have a lot of requirements though, so it's going to be difficult to find the one. lol

Good luck to you, NothingBetterToDo. It's hard to find the "above rubies" ladies.

Did you really just equate hooking to stealing and murdering?

Just because something is illegal doesn't make it wrong.

How about down the line when she's moved on? Is she forever a whore, to be branded with a scarlet letter, her children untouchable for being born of a fallen woman? Sadly, that's the case in some cultures but hell no, not here!

I'm not passionate about my job. It pays the bills and I'm putting up with some soul-sucking aspects of it because it's convenient for my current lifestyle and will allow me to retire early. In no way is it going to be written on my headstone.

You must really loathe yourself if you can equate hooking --which you are participating in!!!-- with theft and murder.

No I didn't. I'm saying that if you are doing something than that is who you are. And, I'm not saying hooking is wrong. In fact, I am glad there are providers. But don't be in denial.

I hook for the extra cash, lots of it. It is not who I am. I am a person who is neither defined by hooking or my career. They are FACETS of my life.

I look at his examples as this...a person who murders committed an act of murder, it does not mean their entire existence is to continue to murder as if it is akin to breathing.

It is easy for some to identify a hooker as that. I dismiss these individuals as ignoramuses who actually possibly loath hookers and themselves for seeing them (only an opinion).

Is possibly because some idiot or the plural kept telling her that is all she is. If she was happy identifying as a whore, she would possibly not need a therapist weekly.

So what have you done in your life that we can label you as? I can imagine you have acted like an asshole at some point. So according to your labels once and asshole always an asshole and an asshole you shall remain.

Perhaps in your day all children would apprentice for a lifetime trade, and perhaps the lucky ones could earn the honor to squire for a proud knight such as yourself!

You could say that about someone like Mark Zuckerberg, who has lived and breathed FB for his entire adult life, but in modern society, no one is bound to a single occupation for life. While there are some who may have found this to be their calling, for most of the women here, this is either a phase, a way to earn quick cash or a side gig that pays exceptionally well. It's a means to an end, and hopefully they had some fun along the way.

She might be seeing a therapist for many reasons in her life, a life that probably has many layers and events beyond hooking? See, you seem to think that not only is hooking what we do and who we are, but that it is also all we are.
And yo, what does sum random chick seeing a therapist have to do with other hookers, or even this topic at that?

I could handle a man living with me but he d have to be ok with what i do. If he was able to cover the 1800 rent, pay off my student loans so i can apply for school again, i want to do vet tech but have outstanding loans, I did hairdressing/cosmetology school , then got distracted stripping, then 7 years went by now my cosmo degree is defunct and not even valid they disqualify you after 7 years and you no longer can go take the state board license, So that was a waste of 16 grand,. Which is now more like 24 grand with all the interest!
If i fell in love with a guy that could cover my dreams STILL being taken care of which is fix credit, do school again, {have some form of other game plan} Then still also maintain living in the ocean front high rise, and money for caring for my adopted pets.
No guy is more important than my future so i havent met one that i said ok sure i will forget about all the money i can make by escorting to fix debt, save a down payment buy a condo in next 5 years.
Most guys i have met dont like me escorting, and part of the deal is forgetting my game plan , go lose my apt move into a crappy one with them, and um, with my limited education and 9-5 i get i will most certainly not ever afford living expenses and paying off loans. That wont happen on a waitress budget.
For me i have energy only for appts and dont even have energy for boyfriends. But I am hapy with my regulars and glad i have everything i need in life and am hopeful about my future and getting all i want accomplished if i stay focused on my goals.
Like last week i did 4 appts, I cant picture being on a bed and having sex after 4 hours, of it, In the free time i wasnt craving it,. I feel more so once i get a good job not this, and maybe stop escorting as much that would give me more time to oursue a man i feel is my type. I have no time for that now. or energy.
There is one that was actually physically and appearance wise my type AND he was takin good care of me, BUT he went to prison, I got the best of both worlds with him i had the legitimate attraction as i would with an actual boyfriend i had selected, as opposed to, i can have a good time with any one but for most part i am not like getting clients that would be my real type in civvie dating,
There was one that was my best customer but also by far in every way a guy i would date or marry even.  Then he went to jail, he will be out in few months, next fall actualy. We stayed in touch, All this time, That was the only one that is some one i d want to actually spend ,my life with, i dont even know any one else right now i d want to do that with but him, or that i am as attracted too as i was with him. maybe have met 3 or so i found as attractive but simply am not in posuition to pursue that now, i am kinda in survival mode. No time to date.

Wouldn't it be better to have a woman who at least has the skills to knock his socks off "when she wants to" than have a woman who doesn't have a clue even if she's willing?

I think that is what the OP was trying to say.

I am not getting married again PERIOD, but if I ever lost my senses and went down that road again, the chances of me marrying a hooker are greater than a woman in any other line of work.

But for better or worse, you are of course correct.
We are defined by our actions.
Currenly, I am a client.  I own that, good and bad, for all that is.
It doesn't describe the entirety of me as a person and all my wonderful traits, but it pretty much does capture the essence of this one activity that I engage in.

I can quit tomorrow and not do this anymore, then I won't be a client/trick/john.
Just like the lovely ladies can quit and no longer be providers.
But until then, this profession and its labels - such as provider or escort - certainly are an accurate description.
Own it
