Now coming onto the national board and trying to guilt or manipulate women to discount their rates, now THAT I can agree is a bit uncouth, but the act of offering a discount itself I hardly find uncouth.

Nothing uncouth about it - it is all about getting that extra business when most of the guys will be available and even law enforcement will be busy

But to get your lever pulled costs money. Think of it as a pole tax.

instead of asking a discount... what about for special on Election da get an amazon gift card for your date, or mmmm tip half of the lady hour date more!  

There are many ways to imply a "discount" other than with money.  Many providers I know will run periodic "specials" of 90 min at the one hour rate, or slightly more, but less that a pro-rata of the two hour rate.  So they are out the time, but not the cash flow.  I have been attracted to trying many new providers this way, some of whom became regulars for me.

and depending on how you want to define the word I doubt I would describe myself as a "gentleman" either.  

I own a retail business and about 90% of the people that walk in the door ask if anything is on SALE, or "What's your best Price on your Floor model?"  Bet that you ladies who REFUSE to talk price do that too when you go shopping, is there a double standard at play here?   So get off your High Horse and realize its  human nature to look for a deal and don't take it personally.   If I did, I'd have a problem on my hands with most every customer.

Hookers, upscale hookers that is, tend to get from about 15-25 times the average pay per hour of whatever the local conditions happen to be. If the average pay is lets say $20 hr which translates into about $40,000 yr the rates for providers in that region most likely are going to be in the $300-500 range. which is about what rates in Atlanta, Dallas, Houston tend to be. Bump the average pay up to $30 hr or $60,000 a year like it is in places like LA or Vegas and you tend to see provider in the $450-750 range.

I am saying that Zoe's perception of rates is unrealistic and out of touch with the realities of the business. Not that rates are becoming too high. As I said 15-25 times the average hourly wage of a working stiff in any locale is the norm for an "upscale hooker" worldwide. I am not saying this is either a good thing or a bad thing, just stating facts. Zoe thinks that hooker rates should be MUCH higher than that, and I am saying you can't fight the market.

Hey there are women who charge (and get) two grand an hour and women who charge a hundred bucks an hour or less in the very same markets, but my formula is pretty darn accurate where it comes to the "going rate" in most markets.
