But, I'd hazard a guess by saying diminished mobility and availability may have a lot to do with it. I could imagine many providers not feeling comfortable in having sex with a man whose health may be significantly compromised due to an advanced age.

With LG gone I thought I would ask the question here. Man 83 gets dumped by younger 68 year old SO of many years for a younger man. They even start to split assets to go separate ways. The younger woman, the cougar moves in with her toy then gets dumped by her boy toy and old man takes her back with open arms. I just do not get his motivations... Help me understand! If it were me I would celebrate and enjoy the hobby out of the shadows!

There is a sub-set of men who can't be alone, especially at that age.  My Dad was like that.  He was a mean sonofabitch, but when I got separated (the first time) he said to me, "How can you bear living alone?  I couldn't do it"  Without being judgemental, I can do it, but others can't.  It's called human nature.  Why bother to dissect it?  It just is.

Maybe.... he wasn’t meeting her sexual needs anymore, and she 'had no choice' but to get it somewhere else.  That is the default reason around here, no? And, he was hurt but figured why not take her back? She's still interested in sex.

And, really…a 68 yr old “cougar”… I don't know what the cut-off age for a cougar is. But, her “BoyToy” was what? 58? 48?. ‘Course, maybe she was bangin’ a 30 yr old. In which case, woohoo for her....lol....

My bet: The motivation was one of true friendship and companionship. Nothing wrong or desperate about that.
