Your being awfully picky with grammar , for someone that doesn't no there capitalization rules.

I take it personnel when there sight says 250 one hour,400 90 minutes.
Everyones should no there basic math.

Because I see idiots saying "RU OK with this?";

I see run-on sentences that might have run the Yankees out of the civil war;

I see misspellings that are so elementary they're....well....elementary;

I see "your" when it's intended to be the contraction "you are" (which would be spelled 'you're');

I see "her's" when it should be "hers"

I see "there" when it should be "their", as in 'their truth is imminent'

I see "their" when it should be "there", as in "there is the blackbird".

I'm sure I'll see others, but where the HELL did the English language go?

Not just on TER.  I just try to curb my professional and personal teacher/editor tendencies when reading what other people write on any Internet board.  Some of the content is annoying, too.  I suggest leaning back, relaxing, having a real or metaphorical beer, and enjoying the gang.  Life is short.

though it is hard to read sometimes. But when I read it in published works of fiction and it isn't written to portray the vernacular or when I see it written in newspaper articles as if that is the way it should be, then I am concerned.

I will not go so far as to say the ladies (not all) are too dumb to make real money using their gray matter. Or the guys (not all) are too dumb to be able to attract anything decent without having to explicitly pay for it. Let's face it, these folks, for the most part, are not rocket scientists (not that they are any better), and the way things are going with our educational system... Well, let's not go there..

Now, why the hell does this matter and what the hell does this have to do with hot, sweaty, NSA sex?

"First off" instead of "first of all".

"First off" is OK if your plane was number one for take off that morning, but otherwise "first of all" is the correct expression when you are listing things in order of importance.

Secondly, there is no such word as "gonna".  It should be "going to".

We also know we are "pissing into the wind" if we expect the language-challenged membersd to do much about it.  So we make few appearances.  Here's the thing: no one expects perfection.  But occasionally someone's posts are so riddled with errors of all kinds they are incomprehensible.  Yes, it's an Internet board.  So what?  Note to all posters: its purpose is communication, i.e. the sharing of ideas and information.  If you post incomprehensible shit you are not communicating. TCL and I don't expect (let alone demand) perfection, or that posters go back to English 101.  So here's a suggestion.  Before you push "Send," read what you've written and correct any mistakes you find.  Is that so fucking much to ask?  Rhetorical Question Alert!  I'm not really asking for any answers.
PS: I just did it and, who knows, maybe there's an error in this post.  At least I tried.

No one is forcing you to read my poor English. I do try, I really do but writing will never be my strong suit.

There are lots of reasons my writing is below standard, like I think almost totally in oral words. To me words like "to","too", "two" are the same word when I read or write and I have stop and think which one is correct. When I do that it breaks my chain of thought and leads to broken or run on sentences.

My poor spelling is a mix between my poor education, my dyslexia, and my difficulty visualizing words. I am 100% dependent on spell check and it fails me often. Even proof reading isn't much help as I write as I think. My writing often looks right to me at the time I write it but later like the next day the errors are often plain to me.

It the end though others have over come similar issues and became great writers. I make no excuses for my improper English. You are right to expect more.

I am sorry for my poor English, I really am. I still think my posts sometimes worth while even if the writing is sub par. I am formally am apologizing for the difficulty my poor English skill may have caused. I am improving though. Maybe in anther few years my writing might be up to par. For now I do the best I can, I am sorry I miss the mark.

I have no problem with Scoed or his posts.  They are both intelligible and intelligent, and he's not interviewing for a job as an English instructor.  I guess what bugs me sometimes is the feeling that some posters just don't care., and seem offended that anyone else would.  And his pictures cure any grammatical sins.
