The original one that DC began was asking the TER community their thoughts on how to deal with a stalker.  But TER decided, for reasons that make no apparent sense, to delete that entire thread.

This thread was/is allowed to stand for what now appears to be a reason.  You would need to ask TER why this thread was different than DC's.  I'm not smart enough to know the thought process  LOL

But to simply ignore someone who has a history...a well documented history at that, of harassment is certainly one way to handle this.  Obviously, not a way that I prefer to handle this.  And if this thread and it's contents can allow just ONE gal to avoid this menace...then that is just one more who can avoid the terror that this fella likes to invoke...as again, witnessed on several public sites, including this one!

Unfortunately the prior thread that DC started was pulled by TER.   I have asked them for an explanation and hopefully that is forthcoming.

When evidence is such that there is little doubt as to the intent to create havoc, members of a community need to take the responsible actions to set things right.  That thread, along with the many posts to Capricornus have sent a loud and unmistakeable message that the MAJORITY of members will NOT tolerate behavior exhibited to be harmful.

I encourage TER to post a public announcement as to their position on member(s) who have demonstrated...over and over, their intent to harm other members.  Hopefully they, as an organization will also NOT tolerate terrorism.

I noticed the thread disappeared, and was going to mention something. Hopefully the thread disappearing has somethng to do with TER's ultimate plan of dealing with said terrorist. I hope it is not just removed because he reported it. (I don't know how much faith I have in that though). I am surprised it stayed up as long as it did. I wish it stayed up forever though. I am still on the fence whether "banning" is a good solution, but in any case the posts that call out the perpetrator, should definitely be allowed to remain!

We need to have multiple terrorists named apparently.

The good news is there really are no others that qualify for that title as of now.

The bad new is that TER doesn't want the rank and file to attack a lone terrorist.

I find that an oxymoron...lone terrorists seem to be the norm in the real world.  I think we saw that pathetic example a couple of weeks ago in Colorado  :(

The guy is nuts...that much has been proven by every asanine and insane contradiction he makes on a daily basis. The guy is old, alone, and unemployed but I really don't give a fk about his damn issues. This is a community for ADULTS, not psychos who can't even remember the words they say much less what anyone else says. He is bored and pathetic...let him keep posting self alerts, not that he has any money to see quality providers anyway lol.

I was busy at the first day of my real job today, so I would like to thank all of you for seeing the obvious even when I was not here to post back to his stupid ass. It is simply too tiring to keep fighting with the mentally retarded, and I don't mean handicapped but fked up! The guy has serious issues that are beyond his control and needs some shock therapy asap before he does more than just post words on a hooker board.

I was victim to his threats in the very first email he sent me, but I don't much care about some over grown grandpa a thousand miles away lol. He is a miserable human being, and I feel sorry for him....well, his family anyway. What it must be like to deal with such a wack job, I would never want to know.

you probably missed D.C.s thread on the terrorist. There were some excellent responses, and some suggestions much better than shock therapy! It was allowed to remain up long enough I think for a lot more people to get the picture. I hope the other thread below stays up too. Many more in the community are on to him now. It is awesome to have guys like Apollo, D.C. and Gambler on board, with what you CPA, Olivia, myself and several others of us have been onto for awhile! A good number of us will keep calling him out everytime he posts, even if they do get pulled.

Good luck with work and I might even buy you that salad instead of just the frosty:)

board, I am ecstatic to see his name pop up here with postings in rare form lol. I have heard of the reps of D.C. and Apollo, and am basically just catching up...I click on their every post lol. The people here for the most part are good people, who simply call out bs for what it is. No one here with the exception of a small few, are really an actual threat to anyone....we just like to talk shit! I love the way he says some of US have too much time on our hands, and he is here every freaking day as well. Pot meet Kettle.

It started out that a few people knew about him. Now pretty much the whole board knows. I say as long as he keeps posting, we keep calling him out. Yes eventually our psots get pulled, but they have been staying up longer lately. Hopefully if the powers that be allow him to keep posting, they allow our replies to stay up too. All we can do is stay on him and let the new people know about him.

Not all of us have gotten that letter yet! And something different is happening now, since D.C.'s thread actaully stayed up for about 8 hours yesterday and this one has been up for almost 20 as of now! Also the thread below that the asshole started is still up, with all the replies. I don't know if admin is allowing them to stay up now, or they are just "too busy" to read all the RAPs, but it is a good thing as we can expose him for what he is, and at least lately, the threads stay up long enough for other people to see it and know what is really going on.

As far as the prior "stop picking on him," notices, that is just stupid as anyone with one eye and a quarter brain could see who is the trouble maker.

As far as getting rid of him, there was some good discussions yesterday and one of them involved "assisted suicide!" :)  Oops I probably just killed this thread by posting this comment:)

If he emails, block them, put the idiot on ignore, don't answer his posts or anything. He wants your attention and you give it to him. Admin can't /won't help, that's obvious, but ignoring him will take away all the power he has. If he emails or PMs threats etc, print them off and get the authorities involved. Poking a rabid dog only gets him angry and then angry idiots are more dangerous that not.

Terrorist’s running amok? How do you know what you say is representative of the “majority” of posters?

If we’re going to throw out generalizations, personally, I could come up with any number of posters that rank higher on the annoying scale---not to mention possibly dangerous, if not--- just plain dumb.

If  he really is unstable---in_the_real_world?? He will continue to be whatever he is, regardless. Vilifying him on TER won’t change that. And before anyone gets their hobby panties in a giant tangled wad--- I don’t know who this poster is from freakin’ adam. Don’t care. I'm not trying to defend anyone in particular.

I will speak only for myself only-- the mob mentality reflected in some of these threads seems just as, if not more, disturbing and threatening than anything any particular poster has ever said on this board.  

One option is to put down the virtual pitchforks, and simply ignore posts you don't like. Delete key exists for a reason. Feel free to apply that concept to this comment.

Or you can just ask TER why the prior thread (from DC) on how to deal with Inet threats was pulled.

If you'd like I can forward your posts to the person in question and let's see him do to you what he has done to others.  Somehow I doubt you'd be thrilled with his "real life" machinations.

Then why not contact the authorities ? If he is harassing  and or stalking via email or PMs, print a bunch off and take to a lawyer/police etc. On a fuck board, unless he breaks the rules and Admin wants him banned, I don't know there is much one can do other than completely ignore everything he says.

And even if he is banned with this handle, he can always get a new one and an IP addy to go with it.

If you all pile on you give him the one thing he craves, attention and an audience. An attention whore is very much different from a stalker, and that needs dealing with someplace other than here, like at a police precinct.

Or those who find this person most offensive hit the RAP button every time he posts. But responding to him is feeding him.

I don't see how piling on him will stop him, we all know about him and if we shut him out by ignoring him on this board he loses. If his antics go beyond that then call the cops and hand over the proof.

I guess I just don't see how you can stop him on this board if admin won't ban him, and that's not foolproof either. Better to keep your friends close and enemies closer...let him post his tripe on here, just no-one respond.

Hence my resurrecting the topic...and thus far over 400 hits on the OP have occurred.  If just ONE of those was from a gal who didn't know anything about this fella...keep in mind many just pop in here from time to time..then the thread will have served it's purpose.

As a public site I agree that no one is going to stop this maniac.  And as you comment, even if TER bans him, he could easily create another handle/IP addy.  And if he does so, and avoids his stalkerish behavior none of us may even realize he is back.  

That was the entire purpose of the prior thread...to openly discuss what, if any options folks have in dealing with a poster like this.

And given his propensity to obsess over his dilemma...I have no doubts he is reading this, and deciding how best to proceed with his "terror".
