Whatever. Ultimately my point was.....

why does the industry make a big deal out of it, and what's the fucking difference what color a lady is?

And supposed to be the first black PMOY. That Hef did it because of Obama, change, blah fucking blah.

Ida is a gorgeous lady, and I picked her for PMOY when I first saw her!

The lady is hot, smart, and a professional. So she posed in Playboy? So fucking what?

Besides, Hef didn't pick her. She was voted favorite by the readers. But I guess that escaped the know-it-alls on the web entertainment sites.

What the hell is the big deal about skin color anyway? I don't know about any of the other hobbyists, but I don't give a shit if the lady is black or white or yellow or red or whatever. Just as long as she's cool, hot, down for a good time, and not dumber than a post.

Know what I'm saying?

That's just me, but I'm a picky S.O.B. and know what I want.

Renee Tenison was first black PMOY in 1990.

And Hef does choose the PMOY, in spite of the vote count.

Mpower,

As a woman of color I can greatly appreciate your point about what is the big deal. I feel the same way....at the end of the day IT is pink! Ours just happens to be gift wrapped in chocolate.

However, many hobbyist do not see it like that....they will not see a black woman. (so what) There are some providers who will not see a black man PERIOD. (I guess his money is not good enough?)

For some it can be very difficult to wrap their minds around a black woman being beautiful. Besides the darker skin tones, many of us have extra curves, fuller lips, and different hair. For hobbyists who have never been exposed to our culture they must rely on the media to paint a picture of people of color. Hence their minds are molded into whatever Mr. Turner wants them to think about an entire culture of people. I am not anything close to a dumb ass booty popping wannabes on BET. I am not fat, loud, violent, or any of that....I actually have a degree AND WENT TO CHARM SCHOOL, I am extremely funny, I am well traveled....and very well spoken.

So for any woman of color to be thought of as sexy, beautiful, Playmate of the Year, Ms. America....whatever.....is a BIG DEAL. The selection speaks of a free thinking public who has decided to view a human for who they are...instead of what pigmentation they just happen to have.

Respectfully Submitted,

Another Beautiful Sister!!!

oh for the days of my youth ... now i gotta go look her up :)

is far greater because it takes all kinds to satisfy us....   but hey, I do like Zoe Saldana.... She is far superior as the com officer to the somewhat stiff Ms. Nichelle Nichol   Ms. Saldana is sleek, spicy, smart, and oh so attracted to Mr. Spock!  lol!!!

Grumble grumble - she is also probably outta my price range.

as I say, it takes all kinds... and the variety is what is oft un appreciated.

rumor? (Wonder what her rate was?)  plus she is currently still married!  or so the blogs go... any truth to that rumor....

sheese, slow sunday....

I don't know about whether or not she used to escort, but I would be pissed off -- and it would be such a break in confidentiality -- if one of my past clients or friends said on a public board, "Hey! Isn't that Ciara? Wasn't she an escort at one time?"

If you knew me and blew me then don't screw me!

This is not directed at you, hon, but a reminder to everyone:

It is not cool for anyone (if they did know about someone's past life) to announce it on a board (or to people even in a private situation). If by chance you see someone in a nightclub singing, someone on the big screen, someone in print, then don't even tell your best friend. That will only lead to the trickle-down effect of rumors. Then, before you know it, everyone knows that this famous person used to escort. That could destroy her career and possibly her family life.

I know you were just joking, and it's easy to forget, but I'm speaking for everyone on the board. Your post just reminded me of the client/provider oath.  Our confidentiality is just as important as a man's private life. Please don't forget it!

No one, and I mean no one, should ever break that confidentiality. The press would have a field day and someone's life would be in ruins, while the person who broke this trust sits in a comfy chair at home watching the ramifications of his/her actions. Shitty in my opinion! :(

Hugs,
Ciara

I understand and agree with your point about treating women of all backgrounds as equals, but it is OK to express a taste for women of one group or another.  I married a blond, then a red head, and am now wild about a lady of color.  There is something about black women that is particular and to me very appealing. I also happen to like more mature women and in general taller women.  (This is general.  I have had great experiences with really small women as well so this is all generalities.)  I do think it is OK to recognize and celebrate things like a woman's heritage without feeling racist or prejudiced.

her pics just ooze sex... and she has the type of body that moves me to tears.... and from her ad, she also seems to have a personality....  hummmmm......

I will take a second on my mortgage and sell a kidney. Just so I can bury my face, and my dick, in her pussy!

Well, you get the idea!
