I have to admit I have wondered about this for quite some time.  We all know that there are famous, excellent actresses (the kind that have had iconic roles, maybe even garnered a few academy award nominations if not outright won an Oscar).  These women make a ton of dough, and work in movies all the time.  But what about the next tier down?  Attractive, maybe even stunning, but never getting the juicy hollywood roles.  They get parts in films but arent the "in demand" actresses.  I figure some percentage of them have looked to supplement their income by providing on the side.  And yet, I have never heard of one being mentioned as "confirmed" provider.  Hard to imagine they could keep this confidential forever, but yet despite the odds of this, they seem to be able to.  So, that being said, all you experienced hobbyists out there...has anyone come across a well known actress that does a bit of hobbying on the side?

that is completely off the grid.  If you have the right connections you can be part of the world too. Its off the grid as in not on Internet and certainly not on public sites like TER and others.  

I think you all are missing the point.  What I am talking about is the notion they have been able to HIDE this from the public.  So many papparazi, so many gossip columnists, so many ex employees with an axe to grind....how do they manage it?  Given the 1000's of actresses who come to hollywood trying to make a major name for themselves who never really get into the limelight in a major way, you gotta imagine there are a number who tried the escorting to make ends meet.  How have the managed to keep it a secret?  I would have imagined it would eventually have leaked out...and yet....really very little ever comes up about this.  Not asking any of you to name any of these (especially if you ever partook)...rather just acknowledge you know it to be true and have met one.  I'd be curious how they managed to keep it all out of the papers!

Saw a youn girl who had a minor recurring role lasting three or four episodes in a fairy well known, but far from smash hit, TV drama since cancelled.  Kind of cool to see her on the show but I'd never out her...to what end?

what is there for media by leaking their names?  Just to tell the people that there is yet another hooker?  If they do become famous, perhaps the info is leaked out in smaller circles.. Who knows? Just because you and I don't find out about it that so and so actress hooked while trying to make it in Hollywood doesn't mean it doesn't get leaked in circles we don't run in.  

Become a producer of an Indy film or two.  Plenty of hungry gals who'll be happy to fuck and suck for a part.

...it isn't unheard of for aspiring actresses to start out as escorts.  I've seen a few who have gone on to varying degrees of success.  

But they don't escort on the side while they are acting.  If their careers aren't going well, they snag a rich hubby and become desperate housewives.

that tea has been spilled it is on the internet but you are not going to find that info here.Many actresses and models have been escorts to the extremely wealthy and out of the country men for years this is nothing new.famous people have biographies written about them back in the day where info like this can be found way before the internet.
not every one got to hollywood because of pure talent the casting couch in a different form.

I read the post again carefully. Munchinmuffin talks about famous actresses in a general way, but doesn't mention any nor ask anyone to mention any. He talks about second tier actresses and assumes that some percentage have had to supplement their income by being providers.

I made the same assumption as others. That he was being gossipy and wanted to hear people share stories about legitimate actresses having been escorts. It's not nice to be gossipy.
