when you use your TER handle as a reference and the provider knows who you are. Generally, people don’t give bad anything when they know the other party knows who you are.

Self promotion is abundant in reviews so can pretty much deduct 30% to 40% easily. I have spent time with some 9 and 10 rated providers they are not even close. Then there is classic excuse, it is the chemistry stupid and if that doesn’t work, use your mileage may vary.

By your definition, there should be only one 10/10 in your life, and the only way you can truly give that 10/10 is if you wait until you see the last provider you're ever going to see and then you'll know which one was your 'once in a lifetime'.  Of course by then, she's long retired and the rating does no one any good.

A second option, which nobody has the time for is to re-review every lady based upon your latest experience.  So let's say I see Provider X in May and she's 'once in a lifetime' up to that point in my fife, and then I see Provider Y in June and she's equally as good or even better, what I would need to do to conform to your review standard is re review Provider X so I only have one 10/10 in my portfolio.  That might be easy if I only saw two providers a year, but if you see 20, it could be a part time job and highly impractical.

So Option A is never give a 10/10 unless you're certain you will never give one again.  Option B is give 10/10s when appropriate, but constantly re-rate the rest of the ladies you've seen OR there's Option C, which is the existing review standard.  Give a 10/10 when it's once in a lifetime at that point in your life. It's not like you can't PM me or any other guy and ask for additional details to help you make your choices

As for your lofty expectations, be prepared to be disappointed.  My 10/10 and your 10/10 will always be two separate things because as I mentioned in the subject line...People are unique and each experience with a lady is unique.  With that said, I have yet to be with a lady that is consistently rated 10/10 and not walked away having had one of the best experiences of my life.  Might I give her a 9?, possibly, but I have yet to find one that I would rate lower than 9 combined, and if you are taking the reviewing scores literally (which you seem to like to do), then you'd know that 9 is still pretty damn good.

This is all subjective, so it's impossible to analyze this like you would a financial report or statistics of any other objective data.  Your 10/10 may be based upon the fact that this week you like three breasted midgets with green hair* who can speak Klingon and next week you'll like red heads--and that's your 'once in a lifetime'  Next month you may be totally into Greek and the three breasted thing is the farthest thing from your mind.  All three of those would be 'once in a lifetime' at that point in time, and would likely disappoint several of your fellow hobbyists.

Read the 10s with a grain of salt and do a little research to dig past the numbers.  Then you'll soon find you have the same problem as I have in discerning which experience was truly 'once in a lifetime'. Of late, I have enjoyed several oh so perfect moments that have been better than anything I've ever experienced before this year, so yes in some respects these are all once in a lifetime.

This topic has been discussed many times, as have the reasons for it, but it seems to be a trend shared elsewhere in society. As always, let the buyer beware and do his homework. If a 7 is now the new 5, which should be average, just adjust all other scores accordingly, find an 8 or above, and have fun.

Newbs tend to see reviews when getting started in a much different light than they do once they have been playing a while.

But you still have those "veteran" guys who just will give anyone breathing 10's...and you're now seeing that those types of reviewers are simply not taken seriously.

I still find that seeing a pic of a gal that I find interesting....contacting some recent reviewers, or just putting it out there for others who may have seen her is the best way to gain the info I need to make a decision.

Too many fuglys get 10's...and if you write that review on her..you will get attacked by her and her WK's.

Stick to the back channel and you'll find that your sessions will generally be with who you thought it was going to be with.  Not some 10-15 year older version and 25-50 pounds heavier of what some reviewers claimed she is...or her pics and website.
