WARNING! WARNING LADIES...PLEASE READ..Do not fill out any information request, emailed to you, by your current advertisers, before calling and confirming with them it's legit request FIRST!!!

I received two separate emails, one from Eros guide and the other from City Vibe, (two malls I advertise on). In the subject column is Eros Ad Suspension Notice  Or City Vibe suspension Notice. This is the text. And then there is an attachment included.

"Dear Customer,

Eros Ads appreciates your business and would like to continue including
your ad on Eros Guide. This email is to inform you that Eros Ads requires
your verification of information provided at time you placed an ad with us.

Please complete Account Verification Form and return to us by fax within
the next 2 business days to avoid suspension of your ad currently on
Eros Guide. Thank you in advance for you cooperation."

Finding this strange and suspicious, I called Eros and City Vibe, before I filled anything out and they verified my suspicions that this is a scam, fraud, and a fake. Do not fill out any information sent to you by your advertisers before calling and confirming it with them first, and do not open the attachment!!!!

Play safe and have fun
Megan Riley

Thanks for posting but I would hope that every person any where using the internet is familiar with such scams.

Like Mr. Fisher posted in another scam warning this is no big deal.  Most of us get hundreds of such spam scams a month.  They pretend to be from the bank, the credit union, paypal, escort sites, fast food restaurants, etc.  Let's not even get started on all the crap from Nigeria pretending to be a visiting client and they want to send you a cashiers check.

Just relax.  Learn to set your spam filters so that such inquiries go to your spam folder.

Do not open any messages screaming **urgent action needed!**.  It's all BS.  Opening them can also subject you to spoofing.

If you are concerned that a message may truely be from who it claims to be, then go to the website directly.  NEVER click any links in the email itself.  Legitamate companies don't send out such announcements.

Even if a message appears to be from someone you know or a trusted site, do not click any links in the message until/unless you have confirmed that the person you think it is actually sent the message.

Spam is common.  Just relax and don't open it.

This is the first time I have gotten this kind of email. It looked very official with an Eros Header on it. I do have spam filters on my email account and this was not in it.  I am not alarmed by it, but find the need to warn others.  It is hard to get through to Eros and you have to wait on hold for quite awhile, before you can get through to a  person to talk to. They were not aware of what was going on and thanked me for calling them.

Don't mean to be contradictory, however, neither do I like to be discounted, as some kind of  Alarmist, by being told to "Relax".  I was trying to warn others, who may not be as savvy as you or I. So if you don't find this message to be of any benefit to yourself or helpful in any way, please follow your own advice and "Relax" and ignore it.

"Relax" its not necessary to be rude.

Thank you very much

My CityVibe rep (she's great!!) and I have had a close relationship via both telephone and email, so I thought something seemed odd that she would _just_ email me regarding such an "urgent" matter.

Immediately looked at the return address and saw it was bogus.  Delete delete delete.

I'm very curious about this, though: the inbox date for all 90+ of these is dated 8/28/07.  ???  How was that done?
