I was doin my job at the local court house today waiting in the "general" civil filing line and I noticed the length of the line for Family law. Nine unattractive pissed-off mommies all there to file their restraining orders/divorces/child support & visitation modification motions etc etc.  Every one of these ladies carried a freight train worth of emotional baggage for the next poor bastard to have to contend with. Only one was not overweight but she had no concept of what make-up was for or how to dress attractively for that matter.
  I understand that providers were Civvis at one time but they at least came to grips with what men want, the art of giving it to them and making a comfortable living doing so. I for one applaud these ladies for their visionary pragmatism. I also understand that I will probably die very alone one day due to my choice to date beautiful, sexually provocative hotties on a rental basis. This scenereo however is a far cry better than the endless monotany and a life of dreams unfulfilled with some overweight civvi hag and her devotion to her emotional scars and baggage.

Probably the very reason most of us partake in the hobby.

When I was younger, I could never understand how my grandmother and my aunts could still be so angry over their ex-husbands 35 years after they were divorced (the men were all long gone before I was even born, showing their good sense).  

These women still seethed with emotion and anger, prisoners of their unresolved feelings and their inability to heal themselves.  As a kid, it was almost scary to watch them carry on at family functions.  Needless to say, they all chose a life of celibacy and loneliness rather than a life of emotional healing that could lead to other relationships.

As odd as I found that behavior then, I now find myself in the middle of the age group that is repeating it.  A generation that came of age in the sexual revolution, but still has all the sexual hang-ups of my grandmother's generation.  The common link is that they both turned the inevitable challenges and failures of relationships in their youth into a lifetime of bitterness, anger, and man-hating.  

It's sad that with all that we've learned about human behavior, this remains the most common dysfunction.  As a result, I now find a total lack of suitable partners to date as a middle-aged guy.  Most of the women that claim they are looking for a relationship practice such self-destructive relationship behavior that they might as well just bring their cats along on their date and save everyone the trouble of going through the charade of being interested.

What these women really want is the financial security of a relationship, without the relationship.  Because they are emotional cripples, and frequently self-centered, they can't come close to ever give of themselves in a relationship.  So they just go through the motions of dating in a thinnly disguised attempt at achieving their financial objectives.

The bottom line is this, however-- they're dysfunction and willingness to remain celibate has now made it extremely difficult for me to have a social life with anyone except providers.  The so-called civilian women have succeeded in driving away the very men that might give them what they want.  Assuming, of course, that they weren't so messed up in the head.
