In light of the recent accusations,do you think it's a good idea for a mandatory agreement to mutually videotape all sessions as a form of proof / protection against ANY form of accusation against either party, should someone social/economic/political status be elevated.
Bear in mind that while some of these allegations are true ,I believe there are always a few opportunist . So what do both party think ? ....Don't worry about it because such thing will never happen here because no one will come forward given the nature of the hobby or if something should surface just deny to the very end.Are you referring to your provider encounters or intimate encounters with “civilian” women? I may have missed the drama but I haven’t seen any instances of a provider accusing a man of non-consensual sexual activity on the boards. If you have paid the proper donation with legitimate currency, do not overstay, and are respectful of boundaries expressly stayed or otherwise implied by some nonverbal cue through the entire session, I don’t understand why any provider would accuse a client of rape? It’s as simple as respecting the word no when a provider says it, and not purposefully manipulating her to your own benefit by overstaying, threatening her, using counterfeit bills, reversing electronic transactions, etc. Furthermore, the unfortunate reality of this industry in the US is that most providers suffer silently from rape, theft of surfaces, boundary crossing, and abuse by clients anyway, which is a whole other discussion.
So I assume you are talking about “civilian” women, as we in the sex work industry like to call them. I mean you are welcome to try this but I doubt you’ll have much, if any, success with it. First and foremost, my guess would be most people don’t want to be recorded having sex. If I met a man asking to record me, I would immediately run for the hills. Who would retain the recording for safekeeping and how long? How does said recording prove that she was not agreeing to perform a sexual act under duress or the influence of drugs or alcohol? Even if you had the person recite some “legal” statement on camera, they could still say they felt they had no other choice?
The bigger issue is how exactly would you go about using this recording as proof? You say elevation of social, economic, or political status... there’s a difference between running for Congress and trying to be the next Kim Kardashian. Even if you have this sexual encounter recorded.. are you going to release it yourself? That would potentially damage your career and do irreparable harm to your reputation. Further, my (limited legal) understanding is that you would need the consent of the other person. Even if it’s not a crime, most people would think it unethical to release it without the consent of both parties. If she’s accusing you of sexual assault or the like, do you think she’s going to consent to the release of a tape that makes her out to be a liar? And if she does, the easy response would be a counter-argument such as the aforementioned (being under duress or under the influence or drugs and alcohol)

There was a famous pro athlete who used to get a selfie (Polaroid, back then) and a signature of his civvie pickups and groupies to avoid any accusations of forced or non-consensual sex. It wasn't Wilt Chamberlain, but somebody almost as famous (and not Kobe Bryant, either).

Just for emphasis ... his dates were civvies, not pros, and he wanted to protect himself against false rape accusations. In fact, there was such an accusation but he produced the evidence and was not charged (or the charges were dismissed). It made the news which is how his method came to light in the first place.

Unless you are doing un-reviewed providers with no web presence, there is going to be an (e-)paper trail of their lifestyle, should they ever bring a legal case against anyone. Mere unwanted sexual touching is going to be hard to prove in that case, since there will be ads and such inviting or inferring the invitation for sexual activity.
On the other hand, the existence of video tapes would result in subpoenas for those tapes which will then be shown in court -- or posted as revenge porn, most likely to your embarrassment.
I see your point.We have nothing to worry about right now ; unless one should attain some fame or be in the national spotlight.
Some accusers may not care about video subpoenas then ,when every news media want their story, plus the chance of a book deal.
So let's hope we all remain low profile.

Interestingly while a video can be damning ,it can also be a tool of vindication against accusation.

A high profile bust in the news a few yearsago, the lady recorded many if not all of the encounters. It was used against her & the clients in court. Really dumb. The whole thing about P4P is cash & carry... once the door closes you are strangers once again.
